Hi Mutahir –
Yes, I guess I do actually enjoy doing ‘readings’ – but my own idea of what constitutes a ‘reading’ is far different from the general
public’s idea; the public seem to believe that an astrologer can (magically) tell their ‘fortunes’ (whatever that might mean). And I guess
the ‘public’, who have no way of knowing better, might be excused for being so silly.
My own experience – in the past, was a one-on-one meeting with an individual in which we shared a special space of openness. One
might say this gives one time to determine the customer’s real needs and questions. But in fact the reality is slightly different: each one
of us really KNOW the answers to who we are and what we want; but the way we are trained and brought up, an awful lot of junk gets in
our way. So the astrologer tries to sweep away the junk and allow the individual to see what they already know.
I suppose one could call this a process of ‘establishing trust’, but the reality of the process can be instantaneous, and the card, or palm
or chart can be done away with. My point here is a simple one – and it is one which every budding astrologer should write on their
minds with indelible ink:
it is the native who knows the answers; the astrologer knows nothing, but can serve as the magic key for
allowing the native to discover their own truth about themselves.
And, quite possibly, this applies to you Mutahir. And I will return to that in a minute. .
Since my ‘retirement’, my more recent experiments have been to determine whether or not sufficient rapport can be established over
the internet for this same process to take place. The answer is: yes, but only erratically. But, afte all, even in the one-on-one the
process the magic happened only in a small percentage of the cases. The rest of the time the astrologer has to pump them up and
glaze them over – meaning, you tell them that everything will be wonderful!
Why?
Because most people are too frightened to come out of their shells.
Here, now, is a personal example of how a reading really works: I had my computer erect your chart, so as to identify your Moon sign.
And the first thing I noticed was your stellium of four planets in the third House of communication; not a rare, but an unusual occurrence.
Then I noticed that your pattern was a bundle, with almost all of your planets in the spring quadrant. And this IS a rather unusual
occurrence.
Why does it denote a question of ‘balance’? Well, the chart is a circle of wholeness, with a cross inside, and that is the frame for
‘balancing’ your planetary powers. The Above can be balanced against the Below, the Right with the Left, good with bad, hot with cold
– and etc. So, while such a concentration as yours may denote a force and real power to accomplish your goals, it also suggests a
lack of balance, and certain instability – which may become manifest either emotionally or psychologically.
AND NOW WE COME TO WHAT INTRIGUED ME. Your Sun sign (how you put your act together) and your Rising Sign (how you
project yourself into your world) are both LIBRA, and the symbol for Libra (see the glyph in the middle of your chart) is the SCALES OF
JUSTICE. And since Venus (love) rules Libra and Saturn (discrimination and justice) is exalted in Libra, BALANCING AND
HARMONIZING all of your social relationships, with yourself as a Social Entity, is what your life is all about!
What a grand cosmic joke! You come into this incarnation with an unbalanced and unstable chart, which gives you exceptional power,
AND your goal is to maximize your experience by working to harmonize your social relations with all people! ISN’T THAT MARVELOUS! (Key 11, of the Tarot, illustrates the Sign of Libra – and reminds us that we are players, but it is the Goddess (your Moon in Aquarius) that does all of the work. Her glue of Harmony is LOVE (Venus rules), but Her scales of Justice are Saturn (a fair and even discrimination)).

And, was all this an accident? Or did LIFE want you to get a ‘reading’ so that YOU could see what you already know?
Sure, I jumped onto TV and the Media (third house, after all), and I overlooked the fact that third house can also deal with electronics;
BUT – is it my function to read your mind?
No, you told the truth when you said that electronics or engineering didn’t really catch your
enthusiasm. So ---
Hey! Libras are FANTASTIC as psychologists, as mediators, as lawyers ….. (you get the picture)? …. And your stellium of planets are mostly in Sagittarius, a very idealistic sign, quite able to handle abstract relationships (law, mathematics, education, ethics) – all of
which are Ninth House matters. AND THE NINTH HOUSE IS OPPOSITE THE THIRD! Are you catching on?
And finally, if you want still another clue, the one planet not in Sagittarius is Jupiter, which is in Capricorn. BUT – Jupiter RULES SAGITTARIUS, and is KING in the Ninth House!
Jupiter, the great benefic! Rules increase and compensation. Just what you need to be YOUR own self-sustaining individual,
consciously and joyfully participating in the social whole. Doing exactly what you are good at, and LOVING IT.
So, do I know what you really want? NO, no.no ….. but You Do! So, why not let yourself in on your secret?
Hope this helps, and
Good luck
Marbeh
