In the last month, I lost my job, and the most significant relationship I've ever had with a man.

The job aspect isn't as disheartening as I've been applying as much as is in my control, and am awaiting responses.

The relationship aspect is what's most daunting for me.. we were together for two and a half years, we loved each other very much and were even serious to the point of marriage. We remain good friends after the break-up, as he could not handle the situation of me cutting myself out of his life (as was my instinct to do so). However I was wondering if anyone sees the possibility of a reconciliation on a "more than friends" level ever, whether in 6 weeks, 6 months, a year, etc?

I would also really appreciate some idea of when things will start to pick-up career-wise, if anyone has the time.
