Hello,

I posted a horary chart in the horary forum about a job I want and of course the chart was unreadable. I had a grand trine in earth with the chart rulers and I still manage to get an unreadable chart. This kinda describes my career situation. Last year I graduated with an MBA in finance and since I live in Florida in a relatively small beach town, I need to leave to find work. I really like Orange County, California and I almost got a job there a couple of months ago but for whatever reason, I didn't get it. I am hypothyroid so I need to stay in a warm climate and this place feels right to me.

Anyway, it was suggested that I post my natal chart to see what is going on with my career.  I have no love life nor do I intend on ever having one again (Neptune in the 7th has taught me that lesson.) However, I have worked very hard since 2002 to obtain an education. Currently I have worked at the same job for over 2 years; I am very overqualified for this position, the salary is awful, and I haven't even received an increase in salary in the 26 months that I have been there. I know it is time to go but no matter what I do, something blocks me.  Right now transiting Saturn is on my Sun but is this really what is keeping me here?

My information:

DOB Sept 6, 1963

Time 9:30PM EDT (daylight savings time, adjust to 8:30PM. I have 9 degrees Taurus rising.)

Place Astoria, NY USA

I am posting my chart as well.

May I ask where in Florida you are?  I'd like to do a few relocation charts.  Are you open to applying for jobs in other areas (as long as the weather is warm?)

The reason is that if you relocate, the birth data remains the same, of course, but a different location actually moves the planets into other houses, AS IF you were born at that location.  In that way, you can get rid of troublesome placements, or CAUSE a troublesome placement!  You'll appreciate this:  I have Neptune in the 10th, so I could never find a stable job...until I changed my latitude location enough to move Neptune into the 11th.

Anyway, it's just an educated guess until I know where you are now, but I'm pretty sure your relocation to Florida has moved saturn into the 10th house...and, as you know, this is going to have a "denying" effect or great delaying effect to any career goals.

Also, looking at current transits, I don't see a connection between saturn and sun.  Could you say where you are getting this?

Hello,

Yes, a relocated chart for OC in California moves my natal 5th house stellium in the 7th house, and more importantly, it moves Jupiter from the intercepted 12th house into the 2nd house. I should do well there. I have no interest in a personal relationship so I am not worried about having 4 planets in the 7th house.  Currently I reside in Naples, Florida. I believe this moves my ascendant to Aries and moves some of my 5th house planets into the 6th house.  As one astrologer put it, I’ve been pushed off the stage.

I have the natal Sun at about 13 degrees Virgo. Currently, transiting Saturn is in mid Virgo as well. It has already passed Uranus and Pluto. It is still aspecting my natal Sun and then it will move over my natal Venus. Currently, transiting Jupiter is trine my natal Sun as well. Jupiter has been moving back and forth over my natal Sun, Pluto and soon Venus again but I have not felt any positive effects from it. When I interviewed for the last job in California I had good transits but apparently not good enough. I know they really liked me and I just can’t understand why I didn’t get the job. I am not sure what it takes for me to accomplish anything anymore because it seems I have to work twice as hard to get half as much. I feel very punished but I suppose this is normal.

You can see that I was an abused child when you look at my Moon-Mars opposition in the intercepted 6th-12th houses.  I am no longer a child and I thought I would be able to have more control over my life by now but apparently not. I have done what I had to do in order to secure a more stable future but it just doesn’t seem to matter. I am not the type to complain and do nothing to improve my circumstances; however all of my efforts seem to be wasted. I am so frustrated I can barely stand it anymore. I worked very hard from 2002-2007 to get my BS in Management and then my MBA in finance. I went to school full time and I worked full time. Hard work is not my problem. I have been trying to get a better job for about 18 months but so far nothing. There are no jobs here and I really don’t want to stay here anyway. I am tired of the hurricanes, the humidity and the bugs. I really want to go to OC. I don’t care for LA and I don’t know why, but I have always felt a need to be near the coast. I don’t think I would like living inland.  I understand OC is more expensive but there are jobs there and at least they pay well.  I would do much better financially there.  Do you agree?

Thank you for kind assistance. It is greatly appreciated.

If you are familiar with relocation charts, then I won't go into them for you.  I am more interested in moving the stellum into the 6th house (at least the sun) and getting saturn out of the 10th house.

I understand about the difficulties in past relationships.  However, if you are at sometime in the future interested in relationships again, an astrologer should be able to give ideas on how to avoid the placement of Neptune in the 7th, so it is one of a higher kind of love instead of deception.

My view of astrology is that it's useless unless it also gives remedies and solutions to problems in life.  So that is my approach always.

With saturn making conjunctions to sun/venus/mercury it is more likely to cause stability or "cementing" current circumstances than causing real problems.  The problems come with the squares/oppositions.  Saturn also would not be affecting employment since it was too far away from this cluster 18 months ago when you first began your search for work.   The problem is elsewhere.

I can tell that you have a good grasp and understanding of astrology.  Yet, I think there are some things that you haven't looked at, and that you haven't considered.  It's difficult to learn astrology, because it can have so many depths and layers.  Things that I use a lot in readings and consultations are things that you may never encounter reading for yourself or on a casual basis.  For this reason, sometimes it's good to get another viewpoint.  Comments below.

I've found Chiron to be a much better guide to understanding and working with the lasting childhood problems, and also how to heal the wounds that were caused.  It is almost without exception that I have found that most problems that people come to me about have their roots in the Chiron placement.  When there is understanding of what the mind and beliefs are doing in the subconscious, then the person can start to heal from the Chiron placement (their childhood).

Well, that's what we're going to start working to fix and get this going for you.

When you send out resumes for jobs that you are interested in, do you make sure that they are not mailed under a retrograde mercury, or a void course of moon?

Next, if you wouldn't mind, to save myself a lot of typing, please read my not-ready-for-publication comments in the Western Astrology forum entitled "astrology in gambling."  This will help you understand what I'm going to prescribe for resumes.

If you send out resumes while you are in a location with a saturn in the 10th house, you are already fighting against the "energy" that is keeping you from getting the kind of job you want.  Find a friend, or employment agency that can send these from a location where your saturn gets into the 11th house.  You could drive to Tallahassee and mail them from there since this city puts sun in the 6th and saturn in the 11th.  However, please use the method of leaving your house, etc., if you can drive that far.  It almost starts to sound superstitious, and silly, but for some reason it works.  So get out your maps, and start figuring out locations where you'd want to live and that also move your saturn out of the 10th house by relocation.  Yet, you've got to conduct some of your job hunt out from under the saturn 10th H. influence!

When you get an interview, follow the method of leaving your home, etc., so that you are arriving at the interview under transits.  Remember square and oppostions are not a problem with this, only semi-squares and 150-degree aspects; avoid these to any significators, and if possible, no where in your transits for that day or approaching within 3 degree orb.

I am going to give you some "homework" because you are good with astrology...and save me some typing.  (Good grief!  It's so much easier with personal consultations!)  Start understanding your Chiron placement.  This is the root of the self-esteem and futility feelings and problems.  There's plenty of articles on the internet about Chiron.  Also pay attention to Chiron as you do relocation charts.  Check the transits of Chiron and when/how it's making aspects to your natal.

When you get that reading done, let me know, and I'll continue.  I'm sorry to do this, but you have the understanding so it saves me some time and work!

Regards...

Actually, I like the way you work! I don't mind the homework - in fact I really like the idea. I know my Chiron position is challenging being in Pisces and opposing the Virgo stellium. Not fun!  And then to have the Moon intercepted in the 12th house - it was a horrible childhood. As I am sure you realize, many wounds remain. But I have worked to overcome them and I have made good progress. Going to school and getting my 2 degrees was such a healing for me but most people don't understand me when I tell them that this was more of a personal victory for me than anything else. I am glad to relieve you of some typing. After going to school for 5 years I really understand how tiring typing can be.

Funny you should mention Tallahassee. I have a friend who lives there, although she is busy with 2 small children. The thing is, I have been doing everything through the internet. Nobody mails resume's anymore; companies want an electronic copy emailed to them or uploaded to their websites. I didn't realize Saturn in my relocated 10th house was such a problem. When I still lived in NY, I never had a problem finding work. Now that I have an education, I can't seem to get anywhere. I never thought it was because of a relocated Saturn. I thought Saturn was good in its own house.

You know, I never really focused very much on Chiron. I have looked at all the aspects and read up on them. I even have a book about Chiron (Virgo's and books - they go hand in hand.) I just realized that the one person I really wanted to be with had his Sun on my Chiron. For years I would dream about him and he would tell me where he was when I dreamed about him. It took all of my willpower to emotionally let him go and even now I still dream about him from time to time, although he doesn't come to me to tell me where he is anymore. I never made the Chiron connection with him. I felt like we had been together in the past but it just wasn't going to happen this time around.  This was the most painful relationship I never had. I would imagine it would have been worse if we had actually been together.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. You got me thinking about things I haven't thought about in a long time. Leave it to a Pisces. I'm sure it's no accident that you are the same sign as my Chiron position. I will do some more reading on Chiron and tell you what I discover. Thank you for your help. I appreciate your kindness.
