Hi,
Most astrology packages are capable of drawing a dual chart
with the natal as the inner chart and the outer chart having
the current transits. For all natal charts we would expect
transiting Saturn to take around 2 and half years to get through
each zodiac sign - it slowly moves around taking 28 years
approximately to arrive so that the transiting Saturn is
conjunct the natal Saturn.
Astro.com offers free chart drawing and if you go to their
extended chart area they will have the natal and current transits.
As an example get transits for each birthday from 26 through to
say 30 years old and you can see how Saturn approaches and
then is exactly on then moves past the natal Saturn.
To prepare for a Saturn return requires looking at the Natal chart,
the upcoming transits and appropriate houses...

Saturn returns typically occur between 28-30, so you've got a ways to go! You'll want to see when Saturn is touring through the same sign as your own Saturn - you'll usually start to feel the effects of it a couple months before it hits your Saturn exactly, though it can be shorter/longer depending on other factors. For the impact, look to the sign your Saturn is in and what it rules, and the house your Saturn is in and what it rules. As Airgon said, also look at the other aspects going on at the same time to see if there will be greater difficulty brought on by them. Something I've played around with would also be a Saturn return chart, the chart of the moment your Saturn returns (like a solar return chart).

Seeing exactly which sign of the zodiac is involved as transiting Saturn
returns to the position of the Natal Saturn is of real value and also
if you have the time of your birth then how the Saturn return affects
your life can be seen from the houses it occupies such as affecting
study or career and so on ...
