hi been into astrology for a while and have a couple of questions as my knowledge isnt great.i have a 6th house sun and the interpretations i read didnt explain much.would haveing a 6th house sun give you an ill father or one obbsesd with health and my other question.would having a heavily squard venus have a negative impact on someones looks.if anyone with a bit of knowledge on the subject could answer these questions would be very much appreciated.

6th house is not just the house of 'health' it is connected to the type of work you do, relationships with co workers and daily routines. With sun in 6th is does weaken the ego expressions and adds virgoan qualities like 'being of service to people'

Sun in 6th would not give you an ill father you may become obsessed with health and healthy eating.

Venus making a square to another planet,would not affect how someone looks unless placed in first house (the house of presentation) and it all depends on how or what venus is aspecting.  for example saturn would make someone rather cautious and reserved about romance.

o.k thank you for the reply.my logic behind the questions was that i read the 4th house can represent the mother and 10th the father but also the moon and the sun represents the parents?and with venus being the planet of beauty but i can see how that doesnt imply.sorry cant Post chart im using my mobile and it wont let me.the venus in my chart is in venus in lib 7th squared a close moon mars conjunction from the 11th.

I'm a modern astrologer that uses Equal house system so a planet in 7th cannot square planet in 11th. Venus is domicile in libra, is alos the planet of love and affection, by sign is how and house is 'where' we give out and receive back and how we want to socialise. If you are male, venus squ moon suggests emotional stress from childhood connected to mother, venus squ mars is an assertive affectionate, sexual nature. Plus moon conj mars = very bossy mother.

Aslo Saturn in a chart symbols father, as does IC (home roots and early environment) any planets in 4th house.

4/10th house can be hotly contended which symbols which but generally you are correct.
