Apparently I'm a Capricorn Rising but from what I know of it, I so don't feel like one. It's supposed to mean that the person is serious, practical, materialistic, hardworking and business-minded or something like that? I'm so not any of that. I'm the least practical person I know, lazy, not focused on a career at all nor do I feel a need to appear successful nor do I think I'm successful.

I do know that I was born very late in Capricorn Rising, if my birth time was delayed by even a few minutes, I would've been an Aquarius Rising - which is one that I most definitely identify more with. But my birth hour and minutes are accurate - or so I've been told - and so I'm a Capricorn Rising. But I also know that Aquarius was on the East Point.

It's strange for me because I look at other astrological aspects and can definitely identify with them like Sun in Sagittarius or Moon in Gemini. But not Capricorn Rising - it's so not me.

What do you guys think?

We are around 6 billion people on earth, I don't think it is so easy that they can put us all into 12 Zodiac sign, even with help of time and place.

We are all unique, we all comes from long lines of living beings, which benefit us in some areas, and decrease us in others.

The Astrology can make a "general" (with some adjustment) reading of you, where we always try to fit in, but it will seldom manage to create "me".

Astrology can give a lot, if you use it as suggestions, and not as solutions....solutions can only be created by you, and your free will, true honest evaluations of your situation

Why are you SO definate about time? was it recorded on your birth certificate? I know in Scotland it is, or if your a twin UK...

Mothers are invariably out with time and if you so strongly identify with Aquarius rising then you prob are. Very talkative, chatty, good with computers, electronics, humanitarian, enjoy logic, friendships etc.

Capricorn and Scorpio at the two least sociable signs..... Caps is totally different from Aquarius. Capricorn, Always wants value for money, whether its purchases, people, things (which they hord.....) cant throw anything away. Good at time keeping, understand the value of time, very little sense of humour. Social climbers, hard workers/workaholics....

This was interesting. I am a Capricorn rising (Cancer sun). I've always been told I am 'aloof' and sometimes, by those who dont know me too well, far too serious. I can identify with almost all of the traits detailed above - apart from the sense of humour, I do have one of those :o) (although I dont like smutty or racist jokes).

But I haven't always had those traits relating to hard-working, serious or being practical minded. That has only been since my saturn return when I suddenly realised the joy of learning and now, 5 yrs later have worked my way to doing a PhD.

But I echo those thoughts above - go with what feels right. There is some 'dispute' over my husbands time of birth. It appears to be that he is libra rising but he is so much a virgo rising that this is what we go by.

Oh I know I'm an individual that's why I wasn't content with being just a Sagittarian and looked deeper to find out other things.   I know that astrology will never fully describe me but it's interesting anyway.
