Virgo with scorpio rising, Mysticism, reading, forums, Numerology, Sun Signs, Divination

hi, i'm trying to figure out all the in and outs of astology, and was wandering if anyone could tell me anything about scorpio rising. i have one book that says no unevolved soul has this as an ascendant but it doesn't say much else. looking for any useful info. thanks

Who wrote this book making that statement, that a scorpio rising is an evolved soul? I'd disagree with that right off. But, I'd like more information, and the reasoning, for someone to write that.

I think I understand the reasoning...that if you've had enough enlightenment to get to an 8th house influenced ascendant, then you've some good karma happening. But, I don't like broad general statements like that just because there are many other things that can affect a chart.

I'd appreciate the reference, if you wouldn't mind.

Actually, i was wrong about it being in a book. it is a quote from the spiritual astrologer Isabel Hickey.

I do not want to reject another's experience in reading. It's just that I've known some scorpios who are very seedy individuals. Others who are expressing their higher soul. For me, I take the entire chart, and all its individual pieces, to say that someone is more this or less that.

its been my experience that those born with scorpio ascendant can be somewhat selfish and greedy, maybe not all but these seem to be strong traits with them.
