I'm not sure whether this topic is appropriate
to discuss here due to a lack of data, and if not,
I'd like to apologise to the moderators and
forum users.

This tragic case took place here in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia at about 1.30 pm, Friday, 1 December. The
couple, deep in debt and driven to desperation by loan
sharks, apparently forced their three young boys to drink
rat poison (some reports say bleach) before attempting
suicide themselves by releasing cooking gas. The mother
also slashed her wrist.

The couple were resuscitated, but none of their children
survived. The father was apparently a gambler. Both
parents were aged 38, the kids 8, 10 and 12.

This case was quite similar to another one here two years
ago, in which a man, not taking any chances with his wife
obtaining custody of his three children (two girls and a boy,
I think) in an impending divorce, hung all the kids in his
house before hanging himself.

I do not have the children's or the couple's birth data, but
I was wondering, from an astrological point of view, which
planetary influences could possibly have driven them to
such troubling fates.

that is really really tragic ...
the timing is interesting, it would be equally interesting to see where the nodes were located as well.  but with uranus in pisces in the 12th house side of the ascendent, its definitely a 'desparation' signature ... uranus is so uncomfortable in pisces to begin with, on that corner of the chart, its very volitile.
