I would like to know your opinion about the recent exclusion of Pluto's status as a planet. Would this somehow change your way of charting horoscopes/natal charts?

Hello, Wild Divine.

My response will be limited, because I haven't read much about this to make an informed opinion.  From the little information I have read (several days ago), I don't know if the decision has been made or not to include Pluto as a planet.  From what I gather, scientists are still up in the air (or divided) about it and some believe that there actually 12 planets within this solar system (some beyond Pluto), not nine.  So--?

As for my personal opinion about it, I do consider it to be a planet...have learned and seen way too many parallel influences of that force (and its nature) to characterize it as anything other than a planetary force (astrologically).

Best,

Shaun
Thanks Shaun

Are you an active professional astrologer?

If ever the scientific community decides to exclude Pluto as a planet, I think that would somehow lessen the objective and science-based perception of a lot of people new to astrology because the astronomers and scientists in the world says "it's not a planet" (and I don't think they would do that without scientific evidence) and the astrologers on the other hand says "it's a planet."

In any case, are you basing the 12 planet theory in the solar system from Zecheria Sitchin ( http://www.amazon.com/12th-Planet-Earth-Chronicles-Book/dp/038039362X )?

I am not an active astrologer, but do know some ppl who are.

If u are seeing Westren Astrology most of them still consider Pluto as a planet.

If u are seeing Vedic Astrology, most of them never saw Pluto as a planet, but the rest who did, still see it as a planet.

My personal view is that Pluto is still a Planet, irrespective of what anyone says.

If Pluto works for then continue to use it no matter what someone has to say about it.
