Dear Sanjay,
The main reason why Your astrologer friend told, that Ur Guru Maha dasa wont be very good for U is , Your Guru is seen in his own Meena rasi along with Rahu. But Rahu LOOSES his POWER WHEN PLACED UNDER GURU.U must read Lord Dhakshinamoorthy slokas daily and do worship lord on Thursdays always . He is your Ashtamdhipathi as well as your Poorva punyadhi pathi.too. 5th and 8th lord. 8th lord is swatchethra , so he will bless u with high life span . For Simha lagna people I have seen Guru granting more comforts after 8 years of his dasa . Second half of your guru dasa will make u high in society and will bless U with more wealth and prosperity too . Ashtamadhipathi dasa period will make u struggle always ..is the general rule . There will be ups and downs equally always. for u .
U have Akanda Samyarajya Yog. as your Mars is in his own place who is your 9th lord and u are blessed having Guru as your 5 th lord too . So have faith and confidence surely U will see high status in society soon. U r very young now. At present your natal guru and transit guru are placed in same place with natal rahu. Let Guru transit into Aries u will see more relief. More over why U get struggles is , due to the placement of 4th house Shani . 4 th house is seen for mothe'rs side. Shani your 6th lord s placed in 4th house so U are telling your mother side gave troubles more to U . 4th lord Mars is your 9th lord too and he is strong in your chart being in his won house Mesha so , u are blessed and achieved that certification what U r referring now. 4th lord is strong means U must be good in education. Mars is receiving aspect of Chandra (sama sapthama )w ho is your 12 th lord so U are having that doubt in your mind why u are receiving difficulties in job front too, is, because it is corrupting your Bhagya . This is the main reason too why your mother side has given u troubles . Chandra denotes mother and mother side . It is your 12 th lord means it must denote losses rite? Your family might have suffered thru communication problems ( from ur mother side) as 12 th lord is siting in 3 rd house.
Now your current dasa is Guru/Shani till 21-01-2013 , it is dasa of your 8th cum 6th lord's. The next dasa of of Guru., ie Budh Ad will bless u with more good things in life. He is your second and 10th lord. Abroad chances are Bright after Budha dasa,(Ad) in the year 2015,. under ketu sub period .Now u are under Sade sati shani , so daily do chant Hanuman Chalisa .Natal shani is aspected by virgo shani now . Visit Shani Singanapur once as u r in Maharastra. . So do worship Hanuman always. This Sade sati is your second round of Shani which is auspicuous to U We call it as Pongu shani in Tamil. .U have seen life changing good, because i tis the blessing of second round Shani .Transit Shani an d transit gur u aspecting Sama sapthama was the blseeing U achived many good things in life in the past year. Second round shani in life , must surely bring U prosperity . In one word I wll say the complete Guru dasa cant be troublesome for U ., Because he is not only your 8th lord , Heis your 5th lord too . So he must belss u with more good things in life as He has blessed my own Hubby who is also belonging to same Simha Lagna of Urs. it is my own experience , so I shared it with U here. . All the very best. I trust i have cleared most of your doubts.
Warm wishes,

Respected Madam,
Thanks a lot for replying. Yes indeed your reply cleared almost all the doubts I have had in my mind. I am in Maharashtra now. Here people worship Lord Dattatreya as they consider Him as Lord Jupiter and there is a lot of crowd on Thurdays in His temple. Lord Dattatreya is Guru of all Gurus considered as Incarnation of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma . Narsimhawadi in Maharashtra is famous as the temple of Lord Dattatreya. I do worship Him. As I havent been to Kerala from many of the years now I am not familiar with Lord Dakshinamoorthy. But I do know that we have His temple near our home in Kerala. Can you please suggest upayas related to Lord Dattatreya so that I can do it. If possible can u please send me Lord Dhakshinamoorthy sloka as I might land up getting the wrong sloka. Please tell me how many times to recite the sloka. Is there any problem reciting it after reciting any other mantra or shloka ?
I do recite Hanuman Chalisa daily. It has been more than two years now. I will surely visit Shani Shinganapur as I always wanted to. But I can visit only after some years.
I have made up my mind. Though struggles come in my life I wont quit.I will focus on my goal.
Thanks a lot again and wishing you all the goodies in life.
Yours sincerely

Hi Sanjay,
We have already posted Guru cum Dakshina moorthy Mantras in our Board. I agree with U , worshiping Lord Datthreya is similar to Lord Dakshinamoorthy. . Kindly go thru the fowling link of us. See other link too . U can very well download sloakas from these given U tube links and can hear daily too and especially on Thursdays. Shirdi Sai is also can be worshiped as Guru., as I do ever. Visiting shirdi truly brings peace and prosperity .
