I have series of questions on horoscopes and their explanations given elsewhere on the net. Since i'm a beginner in astrology, i would be glad if someone give clarifications on explanations. This include questions on Drishti and aspects also. To explain my difficulty, for a  Male born on 3rd December, 1937, 0030hrs, Birth place:32.35N  11.33E, corresponding horoscope was given in the net and in the explanation it was mentioned that "The exalted Mars aspects the ninth house" . Exalted Mars i can understanded because Mars was in capricorn in horoscope. But normally Mars aspects Fourth & Eighth house. But here it was mentioned that Exalted Mars aspects ninth house. If somebody throws light on this i would be happy.

If necessary i will enclose the horoscope also.

When we discuss Graha Drishti - planetary aspects then we take the aspecting planet as a basis or starting point and then see where his "Drishti" or view falls into. Graha Drishti is primarily based on desire of a planet to influence matters on other houses or planets.
Whether the aspecting planet is successful or not - depends on a lot of parameters - but the fact of the  matter is that its Temporary in nature or time bound in nature.

Saturn aspects 3rd, 7th and 10th from where he is placed in the chart.
Mars aspects 4th, 7th and 8th from where he is placed in the chart.
Jupiter aspects 5th, 7th and 9th
Rahu aspects 2,5,7,9 from where he is placed.
All other planets only aspect by 7th.

In this chart Mars is placed in the 6th house and so counting 4 from Mars (6th . . 7th . . 8th .. 9th) it cast an aspect on the 9th.
It tries to influence the matters of the 9th house during his period.
Just to continue further - Mars also aspects the 12th (by 7th aspect ) and the lagna (by 8th aspect)

As mentioned in previous posts, i'm learning Astrology through Net and following standard Astrology books, mostly in Tamil. I intend to get clarification in this forum as and when i have doubts.

I enclose herewith the explanation found on Net for Male born on 14th Oct, 1962, 0519 Hrs. Birth Place: 28.37N 77.04E
Following points were mentioned.
1) The functional malefic planets, Saturn and Mars, not only mutually aspect each other involving the fifth house, the sign Cancer and the lord of the house of disease but also suffer from the close nodal affliction, which is on the most effective point of the houses of its location.
2)The most effective point of the eleventh house is under the exact affliction of Rahu and Ketu axis.

I could understand that Saturn and Mars are functional malefic as Ascendant is on Virgo. But why lord of house of disease was mentioned( Which is house of disease and its lord?)
Also in first point "close nodal affliction, which is on the most effective point of the house of its location" is mentioned. What one means by it and what is meant by Exact affliction in second point
