I am not a big believer in the ritualistic stuff, rather advise positive thinking through meditation, Reiki etc and some sort of physical activity like yoga, aerobics to go with it.

BTW, I don't understand what you are trying to convey through "spiritual oppression" ? The term "spiritual" is used very loosely these days and often used to mean disinclination towards religious practices. I am afraid spirituality has nothing to do with religion and both can exist with or without the other.

Thank you for your reply. By spiritual oppression I mean negative vibes in my home, feeling like being pushed off a box I stood on when hanging a protective Feng Shui item in my kids' room and falling, pets (fish) dying in multiple numbers without visible explanation. Orbs and face-looking shadows in pictures. Unusual irritability in adults and kids with nightmares that seem to spell danger.

Also, feel free to hit me with the lingo. I got this thing about learning new things all the time, no matter how complicated =) It helps me to do further research in the subjects where I am lacking knowledge.

You are currently in the final phase of sade sati which is saturn transiting over your natal moon but the next couple years won't be as bad as the last five provided you can keep that martian energy(Mars is pretty strong in your chart although it is in own house) under control through the prescribed remedies in previous posts. Also you have recently started the dasa of Mars which is your third and eighth lord. Mars is in scorpio in the third house of your chart. Scorpio is the eighth house of the zodiac as well, hence all the eighth house effects which you are calling "spiritual oppression". If that was not enough, the twist in the tale is Mars being in the nakshatra of Anuradha which is ruled by Saturn. In the interest of time and space, I do not want to devote a paragraph on it here. I know a lot of individuals taking keen interest in vedic astrology during their period of eighth lord, maybe your time has come as well. You can google for crystal pages jyotish primer written by rohiniranjan available for free download and read as time permits.

Don't mean to scare you off but jyotish is way more complicated and vast than most modern sciences even at the post graduate level. I can say that being a post graduate myself. While most westerners or the westernized (don't necessarily mean you) formally educated in modern sciences, a couple hundred years old at most, might wave it off as a mere superstition, it would not have passed the test of time and exist till this day without an extensive business model, financial plan, consumer spending, credit cards and what have you had it been all bluff and dandruff.  I don't think I am sounding too illogical or dogmatic, am I ?

Reading the questions asked by various students  and answered by the instructors should clarify most doubts. Once you are through with reading the primer and passed through the learning section, advanced topics can always be discussed in the discussion forum. Google is another handy resource, there are tons of stuff available for free, thanks to the generosity and dedication of some highly spiritual people. Vedic astrology can be learnt without spending any money if you have a computer, a spiritual thought process and intermediate analysis skills.
