On revisiting I understand Rishi that you made this decision to move the thread based on the starting post which undoubtedly was a reading request. Thanks.

Dada,
Yes, I made this decision to move the thread based on the starting post which undoubtedly was a reading request. I also had thought of the option of splitting the thread too.... The first part in the reading forum and the following to a new thread in the main forum under a new heading.
Then seeing the name of the thread 'What if nadi dosh is there in horoscope match?' gave a second thought as the name was perfect for the main forum. Then considering the author of the post essentially wanted a reading, I moved to to the reading forum with a link so that others can find it and the discussions can be continued in the reading forum itself.
Further in this thread I anticipate that there will be examples with birth dates and its post mortems. So this becomes fit for both sub forums, but stated with a request for a reading.
Many threads start with a reading request and go to "other" meaningful areas, which are split, with a link for others to find it.
This thread started with a reading request, but did not stray to other meaningful areas, but the same area.
"There can also be general discussions regarding a point originating from a reading request.... but is essentially/essentially started as a reading request.
So I have decided to keep reading requests, its subsequent post mortems, discussions in the reading forum, so long as it does not stray to other areas and or extensively discussive elaborations."
There can never be a 'sharp' divide between the two sub forums.
Here, one will understand and appreciate that great discussions can originate from reading areas too (rather than the usual drabness in reading forums that this will happen the and that happened then). Adding why it happened? and the related discussions adds novelty/better meaning to the tread and sub forum.
Also people coming to this forum will access both the sub forums with interest.
Again new entrants looking for readings, while surfing reading forums, will find matters of interest/further learning, directly linked to the question area.
Since no sharp divide can/should be made.
You will see the Vedic learning forum and the other learning forums. You will find sharper divides in the other learning forums.
In Vedic only two divides are there. Vivekji and I found it more workable, friendly and 'distinct' in terms of finding knowledge in a streamlined fashion.
Whatever is the decision, in case of movement of thread links are kept for one to follow when moved and is essentially a friendly move so that others can find it.
Movement in Vedic forums are on the increase, I think, also due to the above, and obviously for you too.
Of course, since I am a human, I can make some conceptual mistakes; which I am sure will not hurt the "Forums" interest.

Some more on nasi dosh, for the benifit of all.
naadidoshashch vipranam, varnadoshastu bhoobhujaam
gandoshashch vaishyesu, yonidoshashch paadjaam
eknakshatrajaataana m naadidosh vidyate,
anyarkshpativedhesh u vivahe varjitah sadaa.
This is an old classic dictum followed by tradional pundits while
matching horoscopes.
Naadi dosh is crucial in the case of Brahmins, Varna dosh is
crucial
in the case of Kshatriya, gan dosh is crucial in the case of
vaishya
and yoni dosh is crucial in the case of shoodras.
This means that if the bride and the groom are brahmins and have a
naadi dosh then that marriage is 'varjit'. However they can marry
after doing the parihars.Similarly if the kshatriya couple have
varna dosh then the marriage is 'varjit' and so on.
The fact that four matching area: naadi, varna, gan and yoni have
been associated with four different castes shows that these
factors
are not universally applicable and instead are caste specific. Had
any one of them been an Ayurveda concept [ physiological] then it
should have been applicable across the board to all castes.
Regards
