Your ASC is Leo and you are currently running VENUS mnahadasa until 2016. Venus is in 6th house of diseases, competition , work  etc.  Venus is despositor of your 10 and 3rd house. Your main focus will be in Job, travel, writing etc during this period. Venus is well placed form job and travel point of view. It may give some life style diseases though.
Venus dasa started in 1996 and you must have got your job in 1996-1997 period. The period from 1993 to 2000 should have been tough emotionally and otherwise due to Sadesati( Saturns  seven half years period ). There may have been accidents but you survived due to SUN and MOON in 8th which don't kill.
Currently Saturn is transiting your ASC and Juptor is fully aspecting ASC. This time will be good for taking stock of pending tasks and the event should be fruitful.
Transiting RAHU is aspecting your venus so some sort of relationship involvement is indicated.

I've been traveling past two years and my job is kind of competition related. If I remember correctly, I was introduced to this profession between 1996-1997. Now it is in breakthrough point I think. I also do some writing when I have time and energy, but it's not my job. At least not yet.

Since my job can be quite stressful sometimes, I'm interested if you have some ideas how to avoid those possible life style diseases. Nowadays I try to live a healthy lifestyle, but stress is unfortunately part of my life in a moment.

Is there some indicators in my chart that suggest I would be feeling better in general when working in night-time rather than day-time? I really don't know if there even is any such indicators, but I'll ask anyway. I think there are ups and downs in both options and I try to make optimum decision.

You are now currently in VENUS/JUPITOR period which is good but watch out for VENUS/SATURN period that starts from end of december this year.
Since your saturn is conjucnt Ketu and both are Karmic planets, you can expect changes taking place in your life. Things that you have not let go , it will be the time to come to forefront and you will be forced to accept the reality.
Venus is associated with diabetes, sex deseases ettc.. so it would be good if you can wear a red coral. It will increase your strngth because Mars is powerful in your chart being lord of 4th and 9th in 10th.( A yogkaraka for LEO asc )

Can you see from my chart what area would be the best for me to make a living? I been having so much technical difficulties with my current source of money, that it really makes me wonder if it is for me. Very strange troubles indeed. One after other.

I don't enjoy what I'm currently doing. It has only been a source of income. It takes great discipline to get my job done even then when technical gear is working properly, but past 18 months it has been basicly impossible to do it due these continuous problems.

I've been thinking that those problems are just testing and I must not let them stop me. However, I've been very patient and tried to solve the problems. New one however just pops up right away after one is solved. It's almost like someone is saying all over again: "Don't you get it yet?"

That has led me thinking that maybe I should let go of my current source of income. I don't have much else to let go. I just don't know what else I could do for a living and I have no savings. My life has been a bit strange.
