Hi,

I'm new on these forums but urgently need help with my son's horoscope. He has now RAhu Mahadasha running. His DOB is  08 Jan 1992, place of birth Chandigarh (India), time of birth is 1.15 am (very early morning of the 8th Jan).

He is in 11th class now but will be going ot 12th class soon. His very important decisive career making finals for his 12th class with be in the months of October/November in year 2009. His result for class 12th will be out by December 2009  and he will start his college/university life in Feb 2010.  
But I'm sacred as in Oct 2009 as at that time he will be going through Rahu mahadasha -- with Ketu Antardasha and again Rahu pratrayantra dasha. I have no idea what it means but saw it in his horoscope and it looks strange to have Rahu-Ketu-Rahu combo at such an important time of one's life.
 
Also, what career field would be best for him? Please advice which path should he take. Depending on his marks he will be allowed to opt for medicine, engineering or law or any other science/arts field. In his school they allow to do that.  
Please please help me....I really need advice asap so that I can follow remedies if required.

                       Ur query relating to Ur son's career-- I am of the opinion --to allay ur fears about formation Dasa Bhukti and antara during the period of his final studies may geopardise his career --is not concern at all. There is general rule that Rahu and Kethu which have not got any house for its own they will adopt to the houses they are placed. In ur son's case Rahu will take Jupiter's qualities and Kethu of Mercury's qualities.Mercury is the 9th house lord acts as benefic and Jup placed in 11th in Rasi and in Navamsa in the Lagna itlself thus malefic is mitigated.Jup is the 3rd house lord for education and Surya and Budha  forming a BudhaAditya Yoga thus taking care of this intellect and knowledge.  However Ur fear of Rahu and Kethu is understandable but Jup is aspecting the 3rd house thus taking guard against any eventualities.

As per the planets stand in ur sons horoscope - Sun in conjuction or trine to Mars or node aspected  by Guru signifies a career related to Medicine or pharmacy the later being more appropriate.and also Mars occupying upachayasthana associated bet Sun mercury and Jup indicates further.

Well anyway after final countdown when the results come and ur son will be successful U may decide about the course/career to be followed can be decided.

Thanks a lot alleviating my fears about my son’s horoscope.

As you have mentioned, the house where Rahu is located, (that is the third house) has Jupiter as its lord. Jupiter itself is situated in the 11th house. But I looked at his horoscope closely and found that Jupiter (lord of 3rd house) is in 11th house where as Sun (lord of 11th house) is in 3rd house. Thus there is some exchange between the 3rd and the 11th house. Does this effect the reading and his life events?

Similar exchange can be seen at many other places in his chart.

About career there is heavy confusion. He is good in studies, esp maths/physics etc, and can easily do engineering or medicine. But he dreams of becoming another Einstein. He wants to do BSc and then do scientific research in physics while becoming a professor. Does his horoscope favour or indicate some heavy research and fame?  I know outstanding success is very rare in research. This field is impractical and most researchers land nowhere but frustration. So we have now convinced him to do at least engineering if not medicine.  
But if, as you say, luck favours him more in medical field then he should develop interest in biology/chemistry etc.  His interests are in physics/maths like subjects and a bit less in others like chemistry. Most other fellow bright students in his school want to be a doctor as it requires more marks and is lucrative with bright future.  
But his luck indicated pharmacy more than medicine, doesn’t it? He may not be interested in pharmacy at all so what to do.

Now my query is – do his stars favour him better in – engineering or medicine or physics research? He may even try for IIT exams in April 2010. Does his luck show success there? Or should he definitely orient himself towards medicine as he can if that is what favours a successful career.

This is further to ur query about Ur son's career.

   Sun and Jupiter in parivartana. They are friendly.Both are Upachayasthanadhipadhi. Jupiter and Mercuty for intellectual avocations and Sun for economic avocations.  There is nipunayoga is present.Let Ur son choose himself his career. He will be better judge.
   Third house for education.Though Jupiter is malefic to this horoscope there is an aspect from Jupiter towards his own house. His education and career prospects [Moon the 10th house lord is in 4 and Saturn is yogakaraka for this horoscope.] are safe.

   As U mentioned in ur reply U wait for any wiseman to give more reading.
