After reading the Jupiter-Saturn nexus article, I am worried for my son who has this combination in his 9th house. His ascendent is Virgo and hence this combination occurs in Taurus.

So, far, this is what I can tell you. He has been having a bad childhood. He always gets in trouble and gets yelled at a lot by both me and my wife. I am also worried how this kind of behaviour on the parents' part would affect him in the future.

His birth details - 12th Feb 2001, 8:00 pm (20:00 hrs).
Summit, NJ, USA.

I would appreciate the help of the learned astrologers here.
My belief is that astrology is there to help us. So, if there is any bad predicted for him in the future, I want to take precautions and try to do something now (if possible) to alleviate the pain in the future.

Thanks in advance.

Namaskaar Rajitha ji,
Guru should be taken as stronger of the two as it is placed in the ninth (it is a Kaaraka for ninth) and hence it is a very good yoga (called Rishi yoga). Add to it the parivartana between Guru and Shukra.

The Navamsha placement of Shukra with Chandra in Keeta Raashi is a cause for concern in Shukra related matters.

I hope both of you made sure that between the yelling and disciplining he got a lot of love and a sense of self-worth and turns out to be a passionate and fairly outgoing person who will make friends easily and will be a magnet of sorts! The period between age 13 and 16 roughly being ruled by venus would be a period of self-discovery and will be very formative in many ways. If I am reading the 'signs' correctly there will be many friends of the opposite gender and this may create some concern, culturally speaking (I am being biased here and you and your spouse may actually be very progressive. If not, you certainly will have a period of growth during those years.

This young man has entrepreneurial abilities and will show a glimpse of such abilities after he is 16-17 years old. He will have a tendency to compete with you but it is up to you to turn that positively without feeling threatened or disrespected :-) Like I said, this one will create opportunities for growth for his parents.

Some children came with the lifeplan of a rough start because they have to rise high and in order to do that there needs to be a little bit of steel inside and not sugar and spice and smile, song, dance and laughter!

Remain supportive without creating growth paralysis through overprotectiveness to compensate for whatever! Remember it is about him and not about you! Trust your parental instincts.

I hope he proves me right, someday, Rajitha ji!

Vivekji,
Sorry about my late reply and thank you very much for allaying my fears.
I am not familiar with Rishi yoga. So, I guess I will read about it.

Co-incidentally (or not), I have Guru in my 9th house too but Guru is alone though He resides in Shani's house (Aquarius).

I did not understand your second comment.
Moon is 11th lord. So, I did not understand why that would cause trouble and I did not understand the term "Keeta rashi".

Thanks for your help.

Rohiniji,
Thank you very much. After reading your response, I feel that we had a conversation together and you highlighted the exact concerns I had about him and used to feel about him.

Your statement " I hope both of you made sure that between the yelling and disciplining he got a lot of love and a sense of self-worth " sums it all.
This is exactly my fear.
He has been hyper-active ever since he was born and has gotten into a lot of trouble always. But, I can see that he is very intelligent (even beyond his age) though I could not see any of that trait from his horoscope.

Your words "Remain supportive without creating growth paralysis through overprotectiveness to compensate for whatever! Remember it is about him and not about you! Trust your parental instincts. " have really made me think.
Each word has its weight in gold.

The only other concern I have is that he does not have leadership qualities. He always mimics others rather than coming up with his own.

Thanks again Rohiniji for your guidance and I will try to do my best.

Should I be worried about his education?
