I want to ask everyone seeking the free readings... do they really follow what they are told???

since this is a free consultations forum all the astrologers are bound to  offer their free services here... ofcourse depending upon the time available... but it is my humble request to all people seeking free consultation that these often dont work... so if they are given some remedy by me or by extremely capable fellow astrologers of this forum ...they should donate  some money (amount does not matter it may be Re 1 or equivalent amount in foreign currency) in the name of the astrologer who gives the remedy... in a nearby religious place or a charitable institution... and they should follow their advises only after this donation otherwise it wont be all that effective..

So the act of donation making the remedies suggested effective is mentioned in any of the Shastras/Puranas?

On the contrary I have seen some new age famous astrologers charging a fixed hefty amount on their well designed websites as high as 300 USD for a "life-time reading". This is just an observation and not intended to malign any astrologer/Jyotishi whatsoever.

My personal opinion is that Jyotishis that have a full time job should not charge for readings but should encourage the natives to do  charity/community service .

Our "family astrologer" in India earns his living through Jyotish. He follows the honor system for people that go to him for reading. We usually offer him atleast Rs.101 everytime we consult. He has been spot-on with his predictions and still does his draws charts and does calculations manually!

the act of paying the one who imparts u knowledge in one form or the other is known as guru dakshina in ancient scriptures.... in fact from those scripures we leqarn that a lot of importance is attached to this... havent u heard the story of eklavya who gave his right thumb as guru dakshina...

charging money for ur knowldge isnt crime... arent ppl all over the world doing this... doctors, lawers, charted accountants, consultants everybody is doing it... so why not astrologers... it is the consultant who decides how much he worths not u... if u think he or she is overcharging... dont go to him or her...  a far as i am concerned giving u a life time of predictions takes a lot of hardwork for the astrologer... its not just typing and sitting before the internet... its working in the deatils of ur life... however this is a free forum and the advises given here are brief but if done properly they are bound to give u results...

i wrote about donating some money (amount does not matter) in the name of the astrologer because only then the remedy will be effective... this works in a strange manner... u paid for the advice...and freed the astrolger for the burden of his karma... by suggesting u the remedies the astrologer ...in a way activates the planets... if u dont do wat u r told... these activated planets may show their effects towards the astrologer.... thats why unpaid advices seldom yield results... that s why u must have noticed that in this forum largely...the predictions are given not the remedies...
