Dear Learned members,
I am a 28 years old female (almost 29). There is a lot that is not right in my life right now, not married yet & looks like unsurmontable hurdles in the path of my marriage, my career too is killing. I work in a good company but the amt of hardwork i need to put in is killing. My boss isnt exactly the best boss. I stay on my own away from family.
However,  the real problem is that when i have challenges in my life, i loose my will to pray & when i am happy i pray. For most ppl its the other way round. So now the issue is that when i am down i dont pray, however i need something to keep me positive & stop me from getting bitter. Connecting to god at such times is so imp for ones wellbeing or atleast a sense of wellbeing.
What do i do, guess the best one can do during tough times is to grow spiritually, but i cant even do that. I am more spiritual during good times. I need a guru, but where do i find one? Feel lost. Any suggestions based on my chart?

      While I agree that prayers can give you inner strength, I don't believe that prayers and religion can be that magical. I see in your chart a typical modern day lady in relentless illusory materialistic pursuits. Time is ripe for some serious philosophical contemplation about your life priorities(more than prayer and what have you) and if that is not accomplished within the next couple years, it will really go downhill. It is a given that you will always be materialistically provided for (might not be the level of a diamond etched toilet bowl), so you need to step back and do a reality check on true happiness, if you will.

Right now Saturn is transiting your lagna, where it is natally placed. You are running mars dasha, yogakaraka for your lagna which is ninth and fourth lord placed in ninth. Mars is in Nakshatra of Venus, therefore made you devote your energy to venusian(materialistic, love affairs, prestigious career etc.) pursuits. The part which you have neglected till date are ninth house affairs and in no way can you get away without doing your due. Therefore get involved in more 9th house activities(spiritual and philosophical, not necessarily religious) in the next couple years and btw, ninth house also represents father in vedic astrology.

KEEP AWAY FROM LOVE AFFAIRS AND FLINGS. PROCEED ONLY AFTER SERIOUS DISCUSSION WITH SOMEONE WHO IS YOUR WELL WISHER AND MORE MATURE. Finally, you have to build up the right attitude for a symbiotic relationship with a Mentor (you dad, guru and what have you, I prefer to call him/her MENTOR in the modern context). Over the next couple years, you need to do your due diligence and work with him/her. Prepare yourself for some sage advise and tough love if you really want to benefit from the relationship. A true mentor will not cater to you and not always tell you what you wanna hear but will guide you towards the eternal truth, which unlike the materialistic razzmatazz, will prevail and might lead you to sacrifice some of your venusian pursuits.

Thank you both sasisekaran jee & proj for your time. Am wondering if anything is right in my chart.... to many afflictions in my chart,    As a mortal i definitely was looking was some good news. Anyway...you have told me whatever my chart showed.

To answer ur question Sasisekaranjee, i have been staying away from my family since 1998. first  for engineering & then different jobs.

All you need is balance and well intentioned orientation.  I have worked in one of the intense, glamorous and well compensated professions out there and I know how it is, so trust me, it's not all heaven and to the one manning the sidelines, grass is always greener in the field.
