sorry in my litle experience i havent seen such a exhaustive list of timezones and longitudes...even the famous lahiri doesnt mention....
In this modern times...while every third indian has abroad connections dont you think it is absolute necessity to be aware of uncertainties atleast..Then in my opinion nearly a significant percentage of good astrolgers are wrong...and totally misleading the common man...dont you think....If a reasonable astrologer has no concept of LMT and IST ..then i think it is wrong....

Yes i have checked with the correct known LMT..not IST........in all the available softwares.....in a big city in india....All are wrong...

I do Know the importance of ISt and GMT and LMt...in fact i live next the Greenwich observatory-time Zone zero

Thank you for your interest in my important poster.
I dont have to give any example.... at all.
You can check it yourself....if you are practising...in charts where the karakathwas are wrong...that happens because of timezone discrepancies...
If youhave time and patience just to test the authenticity...take the computer geneerated horoscope and a manually charted one,better if you did your own..you will notice the diffrence,...sometimes the clients will themselves admit what you predict about mother/4th house or siblings/ houses concerned will not tally..in such cases if you manually calculated the lagns you are certain to notice the diffrence...therefore the computer horoscopes wont prove wrong for those which have accuarte timezones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It seems very strange for me that "apprised" software, that have won many an Astrologers heart (I don't think only on RR) seems to have errors so they can't be used for serious Investigation of a chart.

Since the software (I am not talking about MB'S but about proffessional software) have been with us for several year, and none such claim is made before, then we can only draw the conclution that either is RoopaVenktesh more awaken and has more knowledge then the rest of the Astrologer, or he make an error that other haven't.

I find it either way fruitless to let the discussion go on, because such an error is best sent to the software houses, and then to give notice to the Astrologers Guild, so they can correct their error.

There was nothing in the thread in itself that was the cause of action.

The only reason was when RR's opponent denied  to give "proof" on what was found wrong in data programs,  when he first claims that so was found, and his opponent could not see it.

When we discuss and gives a claim, then we must be prepared to give proof of our claim...we can't just say figure it out yourself.

By putting up the way he found the error, for all to see, all could accept his claim, or easy pointed out where his error was.

By asking his opponent to do the calculation, no error would be found, because he had done it 100's or 1000 times already and had not spotted it.

Since suspicion about the error was given, readers of the thread, with not good enough knowledge in the area ,would believe that this was the truth, so either way would RR and other Astrologer who use programs, will be hurt from it.

I therefore found that it would not lead to any good discussions, for all to see, to let it go on.
