This is to be expected, Bluewater, because different ayanamshas and dasha durations are used. I use savanamana for the year and a value of ayanamsha about half a degree away from Raman (towards Lahiri). Also I use navamsha contact for the saturn's sade sati (equivalent). According to these parameters your venus vimshottari dasha began on may 13the 2007. Your saturn transit (sade sati equivalent) will end in October 2009. The reason I use navamsha for sade sati is because the conventional method does not take into account moon's precise position. Moon could be in 1 degree or 29 degree of cancer and sadesati beginning as soon as saturn enters gemini -- does not make sense. The same applies towards leaving. You are probably not that much affected because your moon is in the middle of a sign.
Mercury bhukti in ketu dasa began on May 21, 2006.
