If you have been prescribed these by an astrologer, it really would be a good idea to consult them before you try to get a second opinion because we would be second-guessing why these two were prescribed to you.

There are many views on combinations of stones that can be worn and some astrologers may hold pretty strong views about that. And yet, lots of people wear navratna rings (broad spectrum antibiotics in astrology!) and seem to be doing fine, and particularly their gem merchants too!

Badal,

Vedic Jyotish texts do not explicitly indicate/recommend that the gemstones (described for planets) be 'worn', let alone the right and left hand.

Now perhaps samudrika may have mentioned something along those lines. I do not know about that.

about mantras and gemstones.
himalayas became what it is because the great shiva meditated there. is it possible that if a great yogi mediates upon a rock. its geometry changes and becomes like that of a diamond.
and scientist can argue about the molecular distance.
but the fact will remain. i read about changes in a water molecule after being blessed by a monk.

also ive seen people struggling to sound logical and practical but these very people when asked know nothing about science either.
even quantum mechanics believes in giving answers which need not be complete. since ur framing it or giving out a law. it will obviously never be complete. we use language which
is only a creation of mind, a small part of us. we are a small part of something else and this goes till viraat or vishnu nabhi. how can language tell. and minds of rishis were highly
refined. that shows in the creation of sanskrit and hence sutras which are still a wonder to the lesser developed minds.

but unless we dont develop our minds. will the prakriti stop working as it does? it will continue to do what it does without our perception. for us its not happening.
gems are in so much more refined state of vibration than an ordinary state of mind ( or a simple rock). why do people worship huge mountains?
( its possible that i will break into such parts after death that my soul will fly in the ether and reach sun, providing it with more fuel )

chanting those great mantras engineered and given to us by those great himalayan reverse engineers of this universe  should make us similar a diamond.
all these qualities of the ganges? maharishis purify it. and scientists can break their skull on why only ganga has these qualities. let them take 200 more years to come outwith a molecular theory. i wont need to know how to use microsoft words if i can just *use notepad* and get a printout.

ofcorz if my being with a great sage ( or wearing a gem ) will alter my state but it should work more if i m not just sitting with maharishis being busy with my i-pod and do what they ask me to do.
