In the chart above sani is exalted, in yogakarakas star, 5 bindus in own ashtavarga, 30 bindus in Tula, 7th lord in conjunction with lagnadhipati Sun, & 122 degrees trinal aspect of Guru, in 3 frm lagna and 11 from moon. BUT he is ONLY 7 degrees away from Sun, even though in diffrent rasi, the rays of sun still affect;Even if lagnadhipati's the sun's rays are benefic, doesn't the eclipsing effect make exalted sani helpless, and unable to penetrate through the sun's rays and exude his inherent strength? Some opine that Sani is an exception to the rule of combustion, and even in the Amsayu method of longevity, there is no Astangata Harana applied. 1.Saturn is lord of 6th and 7th houses and enemy of sun lagna lord .Saturn is worst and most baneful planet for Leo natives.
2. Combustion takes place when the planets are in the same rasi as the sun or in adjacent rasis.Saturn gets combust when he is within 170 from the sun. In the above chart combustion occurs in adjacent rasis.
3.According to Phaladeepika,if a planet is posited in debilitation, in inimical house, or is combust,if occupies an auspicious house or amsa would offer mixed results in dasa and pretty good ones in later of dasa.

But Saturn is a strong malefic planet for Leo natives and its exaltation (Eliminating its combustion effect) will increase positively evil results in its dasa/bhukthi.Had the Saturn, a yogakaraka for Taurus or Libra lagna, then in the same situation it would yield benefic results.
