To learn Palmistry get the following books=

(1)The laws of Scientific Handreading by W.G. Benham, (2)The Language of the Hand by Cheiro. Othe palmistry books of Cheiro could add and help too.
(3)Hast Shamudrika Shastra by K.C.Sen.

The palmistry classes form these books have started in this board. Go down to 'The Mystic Academy'.

For astrology too you could find the astrology classes on by VivekShettyji and self....Mystic Academy Academy.

B.V.Ramans books are good for beginners of astrology.  
Vedic Astrology an Integrated Approach by P.V.R.NARASIMHA RAO (Hardcover - 2001) are recommended by me to start with.

After which you could study Brihat Parshara Hora Shastra.

If you join the classes in the forum, it is free and will last for 1-2 years.

Dear Mr. Amitkumar,

                                I would like to advise U not to go in for astrology or palmistry deeply. U can learn the fundamentals as a kind of hobby. If U go deeply into it U will be mentally affected.  Always when U go to sleep the planets will be hovering around Ur thought when U go into a reading and spoil Ur sleep.

                                Of course in Ur horoscope Jup is well placed though in the enemies house,with Sun being the 10th lord. The association of 10and the[2nd and 5th] lord Jupioter will suffis for such a steady.But I think U can devote Ur  attention to a more constructive way which will help Ur career.Ofcourse U can learn at home with fundamental book of astrology and Palmistry as an extra currucular activity.

                                Ur lucky stone is Red Koral: Ur lucky metal is Copper and lucky direction is South.

That was a great pece of advise Amarnathji. I am in agreement.

A personal belief is that when powerful Jupiter aspects the lagna favorably, the native can go for proper astrological studies. This is because such studies can make a person pessimistic as he sees the bad in himself and others too.

For which this aspect of Jupiter should be there to usher happy optimism.

Iam a bit confused is not this vedic astrology reading forum?

For palmistry I think this book by Johnny Fincham will very helpful in understanding lines rather than mounts  :-  "'The Spellbinding Power of Palmistry' ".
