Rishi Rahulji,
I have looked at your responses and have been amazed by the depth of your knowledge on the science of astrology. I am myself a student of astrology and request your help in analyzing something ...

I have been facing something in life, which I have been brushing aside even though silently feeling bad.
In whatever business I try to take on for extra income, the fruits I get are very very little for the efforts I put in. Every deal looks like it is going through but fizzles out in the last minute and even if it goes through, there are a lot of obstacles.
I am unable to understand why. From looking at my chart, I cannot think of any bad luck factor.
I would appreciate if you could guide me on this.

Is it because of the Saturn aspect on the 7th house of business?
Or is it because Jupiter is retrograde in the 9th house of luck?

Namaskaar Rajitha ji,
Since the query is of the luck factor the ninth Bhaava and Navamsha assumes importance.
Ninth Bhaava has a Satwik Guru in it but it is Vakra (Retrograde) So will give results only after initial struggles and delays.
The ninth lord Shani is in the first house (lacking dig bala) and in a Bhaava it is very unhappy. In navamsha (showing Deitie's blessing) it is in debility with the eight lord of navaamsha.

Someone was telling me that benefics being vakra is good but malefics being vakra is bad. Kindly let me know if that is not the case.

Also, why do you say that Shani is not in a happy Bhava?
I thought Mercury was the friend of Shani and hence Shani must be happy in a friend's rashi. Isn't that right?

What do you mean by showing deity's blessing? Is Saturn being in debility good? But, isn't the debility cancelled due to the conjunction with its exaltation dispositor Venus?

Vakra planets give success after many attempts and hence are a cause for frustration.

Shani is not happy in the first Bhaava as it is its Marankaaraka Sthaana.

Navaamsha is also called Dharmaamsha, it is seen to find the different protective dieties and their blessings in a chart and Shani's debility is not helpful in that matter. Eighth house is debt to the deity. Neechabangha is breaking or cancellation of neecha effect and we still have to see the neecha effects till cancellation takes place. Cancellation is easy if it happens from the Lagna, Shukra causes neechabahnga from Chandra.
