Dear Rishirahul,
That would be too literal an interpretation. And I do not say that unctorially or in a patronizing manner, please do not misunderstand me.
Let me explain:
To me the 12th is about loss as opposed to undoing. Loss simply stops us from owning or enjoying something, which may be very intact and being enjoyed by another person as we speak, like someone's house that was foreclosed by bank, or someone's bicycle that got stolen.
The 8th on the other hand has more with the undoing, decomposition, death, attrition, a total change in the composition of something, of its being, etc.
THAT, to me is what undoing is. In other words, I would not look for a Tsunami in the 12th but in the 8th.

Uranus is eccentric and utopic. Is it spiritual?
Hi,
I am back again!
In the vedic astrology/jyotish construct, Uranus does not even exist! Those who are claiming to use it would have to first tell and show us how they propose to fit Uranus into the scheme and framework of jyotish.
Even Krishnamurthy who opted to accept (without explaining) the common western house system of his times (Placidus) and the use of cusp as the beginning of the house (western practice) and not the house mid (Indian norm) perhaps solely due to convenience [Remember that it was the era before computers and Raphael's Table of Houses which used Placidian house systems] was the most convenient and direct to calculate from! There was nothing 'divine' about that, I am afraid.
Krishnamurthy, by his own admission, also had done a lot of Saadhana of Uchishta Ganapathy that was his Patron Deity. I will leave it at that for wise friends to draw their own conclusions.
No one should mistake this or try to twist this into anything else. I am not trying to malign or bash Krishnamurthy or KP as he called it, for I have gone on record in my writings shared freely and publicly in which I thank him for being one of the first 'paradigm-shifting' influences when I was learning jyotish with hardly any help or clear discussions! Beginners in these modern times have NO CLUE HOW BLESSED they are, how fortunate they are with Kali awataar (internet) etc.
The need today is to get rid of the 'smoke screen' that many astrologers have erected and to look at jyotish with simplicity and not any 'posturing' that smells of terriotiality and some lofty secret known only to those who know the secret handshake and password!
It is time we all grew up and actively shunned these infantile practices that have been going on for too long!

To RohiniRanjanji,
You have given the best possible explanation of the 12th. house, I thank you. I have seen people having Jupiter in the 12th. having great wisdom. Seen people having Venus in 12th house enjoying great luxuries. But the wisdom and the luxury respectively led to a lot of problems. They could not undo it, yet could not balance it. In fact I apply this theory( read from your writings earlier) while using vedic astrology.I hope I am able o explain.
So naturally ketu in the 12th. will make a personal spiritual.
Again the application of Krishnamurthy Paddhati which I have researched over the years extensively is not complete while applying it to natal horoscopes and the help of horary is taken at that point. This makes the excuse arise that the birth time may not be absolutely accurate.
I have made one prediction in a K.P. forum where, after going thru the thread I found that no one was accurately prediction the natal chart, but resorting to 1 -249 only. When I applied vedic astrology and gave the reply( them unknowing how I predicted) and the prediction was hailed. That was only yesterday.
I am just waiting for them to ask me to explain the logic behing the prediction, and then I would tell them the fact.
Now coming to what Phantom stated. I somehow feel that he is kind of mixing up Krishnamurthy system with Vedic.
Although Vedic astrology,I feel is more complete and more profound that Ksrishnamuthy system, both are used by me for prediction.
What I am trying to state is that even K.P. can be very useful while predictions, but has its limitations
Ketu in the 12th. does give spirituality to a person... started either during Ketu dasa( if he faces one inthe middle or late in life) or in other dasa.
The dasa should be in the( seeing from K.P.) star of significator of 10/12th. house and sub of significator of 11th.
Ketu in the 12th. for spirituality( vedic), should not be mixed up with (K.P.)ketu being in a sub.
Thanks ubundantly for helping to clarify myself.
I would be honoured if you do respond to this article with generosity.
Respectfully,
RishiRahul

Rishirahul ji,
*generosity* is the only fund that I am allowed to spend ;-)
And, thanks for your generosity!
To me KP has always felt like a closed as opposed to a growing system, unlike Jyotish.
Krishnamurthy readers were very prescriptive, clear and definitive and did not go beyond the sublord. Why the modern followers decided on their own to go beyond the bhukti is the missed literature that I did not follow. I am sure there was a reason, but it has not been honestly shared, publicly. Until that happens, hopefully HERE, the JURY hasn't returned from lunch! IOW, Court is adjourned!!
Ketu in 12th would make one spiritual based on the following premise/logic.
Ketu is Konfusion, the smog that hangs over the mind, or moon and eclipses it and in some cases the SUN or SOUL!
So yes, if the KONFUSION is in the 12th, there is a possibility that it will be lost and when confusion is lost or expended, what remains?
Klarity, I hope, or Clarity at least?
The logic seems simplistic and it is! One swallow alone does not make summer --- etc!
The ketu that is there in the 12th needs to be empowered. It is like a gemstone! You have purchased the best quality gemstone from ebay or wherever and then what? Is the acquisition of the gemstone alone (ketu in 12th) going to make magic happen in your life?
Perhaps not! You would need, in BOTH cases an activator, a catalyst. In the case of the physical gemstone, it can be penance and mantras that activate the prana in the gemstone before it CAN become a remedial aid, or in the case of ketu, a gajkeshary for instance, moon, jupiter and ketu in the 12th in a leo rising chart!
That gajkeshary is the trigger that astrologers must watch for in this example for it indicates that the invocation of the mantra of RIGHT ACTIONS (Dharmic Karma) had been taking place for a few lifetimes. The Chandal yoga is a ruse of sorts! It just indicates that all the ducks are not lined up yet, but there is hope! There is a beautiful story in Hindu scriptures about a 'Chandaal King' or rather a King that was turned into a Chandaal! Not required reading but these beautiful parables and fables do help one understand the movement of the heavens...
Ketu alone in 12th may just indicate that the land has been purchased but the house not built yet!! Makes sense??
Practice makes one perfect! Usually over lifetimes! But tell that to a rich and impatient subscriber to Jyotish! I have just described the challenge that modern jyotishis face in their karmic path in this lifetime. Are they ready? Do they prepare for such an eventuality when in the field??

To RohiniRanjanji,
I had given a similar explanation to fien astrologers regarding Ketu eclipsing the soul. It is like horse without a head, writhing in pain. What a horrible sign.
Indeed your explanation was really rich.
Tell me Sir. If one has four or more planets in one house with one or more combust, we can safely say that the native is a sort of 'ascetic turned out of balance emotionaly( a seed for spiritualism). Again if he has 4 or more planets in a house with no planets combust( obviously one of them being Sun), the person would have the propensity to be an ascetic, without being turned out of balance.
I am sure we are not going beyond the scope of this present thread.
Respectfully,
RishiRahul
