I don't remember what happened between Jan 1995- Jan 1996. I think my mentor was diagnosed with cancer in 1995. She always talked about lung cancer and cigarette smoking (she was a heavy cigarette smoker). But she never told me she had it. She told my mother that she didn't want to see me anymore. I later found out that it was because she was dying. In mid 1996 I found out that my mentor died. She was like a mother or a big sister. She would take me to dance and gymnastics class. I really didn't appreciate her at that time, but I'm now grateful for all the things that she did for me. She believed in me and really wanted me to go to college. She left me an inhertance to pay for school. I later found out through her friends that she saw me as her daughter. Don'treally remember 1996-1998

Interesting because the men that I've met so far aren't boyfriend material anyway. They lie their age, are obsessive or they are in relationships but pretend to be single.
