2)If the said badhak graha is plced in the 12th. you say , being the house of loss( or undoing) vreates a loss of badhaka yoga:
Isn't 12th. house the undoing of the 1st. house?... So how does it undo the badhak state? FIRSTLY UNDOING IS NO WORD IN ASTROLOGY. 12TH HOUSE RELATES, LOSS, EXPENDITURES ...AND ALL THAT YOU KNOW ABOUT 12TH HOUSE FOR THE 1ST HOUSE..IT SHOWS THE DIRECTION OF LOSS/EXP OF JATAK, AND ULTIMATELY ITS ALSO TERMED AS DWAR FOR MOKSHA..SO FOR EG IF SURYA PLACED IN 12TH HOUSE OF ANY ASCENDANT, SIGNIFIES, IF THE JATAK BY ITSELF LOOSES EGO/TEMPERAMENT, AND BECOMES SIMPLE TO CONTROL THOSE, HE WILL REMAIN HAPPY..IT IS THOSE GRAHAS IN THE 12TH HOUSE, THAT THE JATAK MUST CONCENTRATE IN ORDER TO LEAD A PEACEFUL LIFE...ALSO THE LORDSHIP OF 12TH HOUSE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED...

Apart from the various angles our good friends have posted , I have the following to observation to make.

Mercury in Virgo is exalted. Mercury is the Bhadhakastanadipathi for Sagittarius Ascendant. 10th placed in its own house that too in exalted position. But it is aspected by 2nd and 3rd Lord Saturn. Is this one form of UchaBhanga Neecha yoga. I leave this question for others to ponder and analyse Now the question is Mercury takes the role of Bhadkastanadhipathi in the first place . Hence I am of the view that the individual would have and will meet with unexpected set back in profession and marital and family life.Placement of 2nd lord in the 8th house is not good for family life. Further ,Sri Shankar Adwal in his book on Jupiter and Saturn, he says the native will have disease like leporasy or certain other contagious disease in his life time. This combination of Satrun aspecting Mercury , placed along with moon the eight lord , gives the native disgrace  in work environment , false accusation , black marks . Again I quote Sri Shankar Adwal, who says"the native has to bear the brunt of  False accusation of theft, frauds etc" Moreover , the aspect of Saturn on 2nd house, i am of the view that the person has to be foul or bad mouthed  and I am of the opnion he may not be decent in his speech , in otherwords, he will not hve polishness in his utterances.

The placement of Bhadakastandipathi in 10th house that too in exalted position, would  give no permanency  in JOB

Further I observe that SANI is placed in its enemy's house that too with moon . Is there anything more required for the lord of family house ,to fret ,fume  and gasp. Hence , many of the family members may find themselves uneasy , because of the individual presence

Added further, at the time of birth itself it is SADE SAthi. and  in the words of  B V RAMAN , in one of his books , he mention it is as permanent SADE SATHI for a native. Hence the native has to struggle throughout the  life.

More can be discussed and said, due to paucity of time, I stop with this.

Saturn, aspecting Mercury, in affliction, makes the native an easy liar., may it be white lies. What I mean to say is that it comes easy to him.

The honourable Dr. Raman has always been my silent Guru. I agree with Govardhantji about what he stated about Moon Saturn conjunction. I have to add here having my little experience catalized by my fondness for technicals and logic, that the problems occur due to the native having a unbalanced with the mother. The native is very fond of the mother, which doesn't form a healthy balance. I mean the fondness between both the parents should be ideally balanced. But here it is topsy turvy.

Take it another way. In this case as mentioned above: Saturn not only afflicts the house of moon, but moon itself. Call them the mind or the mother. I wish the parents could play their parental roles more maturedly.

Eighth house indicates longevity, battle, enemies, forts, wealth of the dead and things, that have happened and are to happen (in the past and future births) as per Brihat Prasara Hora Sastra written by Maharshi Prasara.

Saturn will definitely affect adversely to those areas.

Sorry I did not see this post to me earlier. After you posted this Govardhantiji made a post, and I saw his post and replied seeing his reply. Did not see your post above. Presently while surfing the ld posts I came accross it and saw yours.

(1)So you agree about the kendrapatya dosha becoming less.

(2) Your logic of 12th is good.
So we must beware of the kendra lord in the12th, yet concentrate towards it. It lifts the native.. adds too much wisdom based on logic.. and proves troublesome due the too much wisdom factor. Such lifts are not stable, particularly with the following dasa of afflicted Saturn following.
However gems should not be given for badhaks as the theory states, but there are certain situations where it could be given depending on a deeper analysis of the chart.

When a natural benefic attains Kendrapatya doshas due to lordship and is placed in Kendra the person does not fare badly, but is unable to get lifted or rise much.. the obstructions being mental or otherwise.

When such a planet is placed elsewhere partcularly in a kona it is supposed to be bad. It depends.

Such a planet in the 12th. gives good during its dasa, even great lifts, but trouble due to excess wisdom it being Jupiter.

I have seen these surprising/unusual things. Perfect results are obtained by seeing their stellar positions, charakaraks, amsas and the annual results.
