Vamsee I think U need to learn to respect everyone for their beliefs & thier opinions. I will just say this, we have more prestige than anyother country in the World. Almost all the countires & the ppl of those countries, love India, it's tradition's, it's heritage, it's culture, it's History, etc, etc, etc. We have Honour too. But can u touch ur heart & truthfully tell that these ppl respect us??

No they don't. Have u ever been to a call center, or listen to the way the ppl of other countries behave to us, I think not, if yes u would have know the respect they gives us, it is less than the ones they give to criminals, & theif's there.

& yes Before u attack me about my Patiotism or anything u don't know about me, Let me tell u, I love this country more than u do. My family has done more to this country than u or anyone else canh imagine. & I don't take any kind or form of abuse to India, I will personally screw the fu***r who abuse's India.

But yes I don't do the same about the ppl of India, because of the small mindedness of certain ppl we have a bad name. If we cannot respect ppl for their beliefs, their race, their religion, their political prefrence, than there is no way ppl will respect us. I think u should learn to respect others, before u expect others to respect u. & yes If they can't respect u, than make them fear u, then automatically u will get respect.

And I suggest u to understand before posting anymore. Because as an Aquarian, I always think about any issue from all possible sides & angles, & if it comes to an arguement I always win, even at a heavy cost.

But I will tell u this, I respect u for ur intelligence, for ur knowledge, for ur patriotism, & for what u are doing in the site in ur free time. I don't want a allout arguement here. Anything more, plz contact me on my PM.

see oscar is for ppl who make movies in english only.

there's a foreign movie category in which none of movies get selected coz of lobbying.
so why bother about such oscars?

I agree with u mostly there, but a lot of non-english movies have won the Oscars too. I sisn't say so much to fight with u, or make u angry, & if I have done that, (which I think I did) I aplogise to u. But my intenetions were good, u did say something bad about something prestigious to many ppl.

Who knows tomorrow, u write a story, & it was made into a Hollywood movie & u won the award for that movie, & someone said it is useless to u then, how would u feel. Will u still feel that u have accomplished something or will u feel useless??

& about lobbying, I will tell u this, Black would have won the Oscar award this year, if the Idiot Shah Rukh Khan (he is my fav actor, but still a idiot for what he did) hadn't lobbyed & sent Pehli there. Which was also rejected later.

Guys, just chill……………. I did not know my post regarding the awards will cause such a steer at the forum.

My opinion-
I think every award has its own importance and significance, to the relevant ppl from the field.

As Vamsee says, we have to be proud of our Film fare. It’s true that Oscars awards are the awards which are well marketed and that’s why all the attention to them.

But then I feel, it’s not that films which win at the Oscars are not good. They are wonderful (I have seen a lot of world cinema myself and can say that their films are superior to ours, in a way). That does not mean our films are any less good. But they can cater only to limited audience who like the “song-dance” formula.

We have to understand that an Oscar award can bring/take our cinema to a new level. We will get more number of takers and can project our unique style of filmmaking to the world.
