could anyone explain more about Tara Dasa?

It is like Vimshottari dasa system. Instead ofthe Sun, Moon, Mars etc. Tara dasa is reckoned from Janma, Sampat Tara etc. Tara Dasa commences from the strongest Planet  among the planets posited in angles. The sequnece of Janma, Sampat, Vipat, kshema, Pratyak, Sadhana, naidhana, Mitra and Param Maitra are adopted. Dasa effects shall be as per nomenclature of the names of the Tara. Each dasa lasts for 9 years

To be very frank I had not used this method to predict so far and do not know much more than this

yes i also  realised that it isnt used much.. is it becoz its not very important??

but I was told taradasa precisely gives  indication of bad happenings

but i had asked someone else who practises astrology.. and he too didnt seem to b using it. let me see what more i can find out about it.
