One wonders why it never attracted good writers etc.?
Even KP Readers are very pithy, just state indicators rigidly and tersely. There remind me of some books I read in my childhood written by a Mr. Shah (if I recall correctly) from Nargoal in Gujrat. It did not work.
I know there are many KP bhaktas and I do not want to rattle their cages but no one has so far been able to give answer to one simple question:
What is the story behind Krishnamurthy's use of Placidian cusps? Someone told me that at that time Raphael's ephemeris and Table of houses were very popular and most accurate astronomically and they just happened to use only the Placidian house system!
Who really knows...!
I think Swetha has covered almost all Aspects of KP System. The base of KP System is "Nakshatras" and "Ruling Planet". The "Prashna Kundali" (Horoscope of the Time when Question asked) in KP System gives Quite Accurate results.
In regular Vedic Astrology, we use Nakshatras only for Moon mainly. As Moon is Base of Vedic Astrology and Controls one's Mind and major Decisions in the Life. The major approach behind is Marriage "Match Making" as it involves Nakshtras till their 4 Charanas. But there is hardly any Emphasis on "Which Planet gives what Effect in which Nakshatras". Some Writers (Astrologers) have started it taking seriously, so there are some books in that context. Though Research in such books is not Good Enough as these are "Nascent Efforts", still I think it is a Good Start.
Secondly, no Astrological System is Seamless and Correct (I mean 100% Correct). Though I Love and Follow "Vedic Astrology", still I Love to Explore, Western Context of Astrology. How their Almanac is 1 or 2 years Ahead of ours? How their Predictions come True when according to Vedic Astrology Planets are in Different Signs.
Yes, considering Rising degrees, Bhav Arambha and incorporating Western Astrology in KP System are new things but ultimately we must consider the overall Effect. Like any other Science, Astrology is also developing. We must Explore, newer Ways to make Reading which will take Astrology to a new High and also a Reliable Source of knowing the Unknown.
The major Problem why KP System is not Popular is because, the kind of Sensitisation which is required to make it Popular, has not been done properly. There are few Books available on it. There are very few People (Astrologer) who are Experts and will share their views. For a New Learner it is Difficult (Although it is not), due to Nakshatras and Different Approach. There are no Good Magazines, Writers or Articles available for it. There are no Exams or Certificate courses in this Branch from Astrological Institute and University (Atleast I don't know).
I think its Good that someone broke the Ice and Put such a Nice Subject on Board. Thanks to all Contributors !!!
God Bless All !!!
