Please do not take my posting/response as a personal affront or confrontational! Where in Jyotish texts is 5th associated with love? In western astrology, yes, but in Jyotish...?

If you took the few minutes and read the stats I posted -- rahu did not seem to be demonstrating a strong association with interracial marriage!

The 'problem' with modern jyotish is that we give these 'pat' combinations, and all writers and editors have fallen prey to such nice-sounding packaging of combinations and with a bit of astro-logics thrown in, do make 'good copy'! But when the rubber hits the road (rules applied in random charts) much dust results but no clarity!

In such packagings, we do disservice to readers, jyotishis and above all to JYOTISH!

No text book says 5th house is the house of love. There are so many things not said in our texts, but experience makes us know better.
Also I beg to differ, as i specialize in marriages and related, I find rahu, saturn are two planets which give all unconventional events.

None was intended, astrologer ji!

But *conventions* do change over time, and so too our understanding about the conventional meaning of planets and what they can and cannot indicate
