The purpose of this question was not to cause an internal friction.  I suppose its normal to see that there are politics everywhere even when discussing diving knowledge.

Thanks RishiRahul for your info, the point I was trying to make was that I heard a story or perhaps a myth which stated that the lal kitab was very old and was compiled by brighu.  On a search for the source of godhead he visited all three of the hindu / vedic triumvirate - brahma, vishnu and mahesh.

It was during his visit of lord vishnu he stepped over the line and was given a curse by mata lakshmi whereby the brahmins would always live in poverty.  However, brighu compiled the astrological compendium which was designed with the specific purpose of helping brahmins earn their living despite the curse of poverty.

From this we can deduce that Brahmins are immune to any possible effects of reducing a seekers bad karma.  However, is a non-brahmin susceptible to any such effects ? especially as we are using divine knowledge that wasnt created for us.  Lord Krishna said that its better to do your duty badly than anothers well.

You have said on a couple of occasions that there are no side effects but I can say that I have felt the effects no matter how subtle.  It worries me that there are so many people out there suffering because of their past karma who have no idea that vedic astrology can help ease /remove the portion of karma which is removable.
