I need your advice on finding mangal dosha

if Mars is in the 1, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house frm Lagna or the Moon then manglik

I have been told that it is very confusing for a person to understand Chandra Manglik and Lagna Manglik.

HE can be manglik or not. So how can this calculation be corrected? Should we consider only Lagna chart or only moon chart???

Cancellation of Kuja Dosham:

  But in Jothish Sastra, there are many combinations, placements and aspects ( views) of Mars and other planets to cancel this dhosham. Let us see one by one.

When Mars ( Sevvai) placed in Mesham ( Aries), Rishabam (Taurus), Katakam (Cancer), Simham(Leo),Viruchikam (Scorpio), Dhanus (Sagittarius), Makaram (Capricorn), Kumbam (Aquarius) and Meenam (Pisces) then, NO Kuja Dhosham.
When, Mesham, Katakam, Thulam (Libra), Makaram happens to be 2nd, 4th, 8th  or 12th place and Mars is placed in these places, then NO Kuja Dosham.
When Mars is in Mithunam (Gemini) or Kanni (Virgo) and happens to be 2nd place, then NO Dosham
When Mars is in Mesham or Viruchikam and happens to be 4th place, then NO Dosham
When Mars is in Katakam or Makaram and happens to be 7th place, then NO Dosham
When Mars is in Dhanus or Meenam and happens to be 8th place, then NO Dosham
When Mars is in Rishabam or Thulam and happens to be 12th place, then NO Dosham
When Mars is in Mesham, Simham, Viruchikam or Makaram and happens to be 8th or 12th place, then NO Dosham.
When Raasi Lord, (where Mars is occupying in a chart), is placed in Lagna, 4th, 5th, 7th,9th, or 10th place from Lagna, then NO Dosham
When Mars is with or viewed (aspected) by Jupiter (Guru), Bhuthan(Mercury), waxing Moon ( Valar pirai) and by Sun (Suriyan), then NO Dosham
When the Lagna ( Ascendant) happens to be Katakam ( Cancer) or Simham ( Leo), then wherever the Mars is placed, NO Dosham.
When Mars is with Saturn (Sani), Rahu or Ketu, or Mars is aspected (Viewed) by them, then NO Dosham.
 Only when, these cancellation are not there in any chart, we can conclude, there is Sevvai/ Kuja / Ankaraka Dosham. Do you think, large number of people would have this Dosha?

If kuja is in the 2nd, 12th 4th , 6th or 8th house in the horoscope of a person, the death of the spouse is supposed to happen.

There are several discussion on the above subject , it is vast in itself.  It is observed that even though the native does have Kuja dosha, in the horoscope , with other spouse not having dosha, live quiet longer and happily . Vice versa, the native without kuja dosha in the horoscope at times we hear spouse passing away or separated  According to B V Raman , In consideratin of marriage adaptability there are various other factors other than kuja dosha which should be carefully examined.

Vedic astrology  is a very complex subject and analysis are made based on various permutation and combination of planets , houses etc. Hence your efforts is laudable  in developing the software for determining Manglik dosha. I am sure you would have taken various clues from the many softwares which are available in the net , before you ventured into developing the same .

I notice certain obvious errors in the software developed.  The lagna position is not correct in most of the case i entered. I would request you to kindly look into it and rectify

Now the result i obtained in one case is as under

Manglik Interpretation
Ascendant (Lagna)
Position of Mars from Lagna is 3
Percentage of Mangala dosha is 0.125%
The person is Manglik
Moon Sign (Rashi)
Position of Mars from Chandra is 11
Percentage of Mangala dosha is 25%
The person is Manglik

According to me there is no percentage of manglik. Hence the details needs to be corrected.

Further did you compare the results obtained from your software with other software in vogue.?

1. Thanks for your input. Yes we found some more errors and they have been rectified.
2. Exceptions have been considered. I am trying my best to make it better but I know there are errors which can only be corrected with feedback like yours.
3. I picked up the percentage part from some software on the Internet and have seen the sites that you mentioned.
4. Please can you let me know the input details for which you feel the lagna is wrong.
5. Also how is mangal dosha seen in navamsa chart and chalit chart?

Hello GVT,
I have implemented 8 out of 10 conditions that you had specified already. But there was some error in coding because of which it was giving wrong result. I shall show you corrected copy soon.

One more question.

Please let me know if mangal dosha exists for the below two date of birth in Lagna chart

According to my software it doesnt exist.
