Namaste,

Let's say planet X causes a certain yoga. Let's say it's planet X's antardasa. Will the yoga become activated during antardasa? Or, do yogas only get activated during the maha dasa of planet X?

Yoga not necessarily should get activated because of the operation of Maha Dasa or Antardasa . If the antardasa of planet is in operation in the Maha dasa of the planet which is enemy to the antardasa planet then result cannot be seen. Like wise if the Planet is placed in bad position in the horoscope , but that planet is yogakaraka then too the yogas do not get activated in the Maha dasa of the planet. There are several permutation and combination that are possible. It should be considered on case to case basis in each individual horoscope
