That would mostly be a very fortunate combination - a good combination for a comfortable and peaceful life with abundance and prosperity.

It would highly depend upon whether the planets are exalted, debilitated etc. Also depend upon functional benefic/malefic traits, etc etc
For example,
Consider a native having very pure (without any bad aspects/lordships, etc) and/or exalted benefics in kendras and malefics in upachayas, we can say that such native will have extremely good character. But malefics in upachayas show killer instinct and materialistic attraction. Then we think how come an extremely good person harm even his enemies (enemies are human beings and causing harm is causing harm; illegal as well), in such cases, he is either licenced to kill (james bond) or else his reputation and luck is enough to take care of his enemies and/or keep them at bay.
Consider a native having impure (with any bad aspects/lordships, etc) and/or debilitated (without cancellation of debilitation) benefics in kendras and malefics in upachayas, we can say that such native wont have extremely good character, his reputation might be of a nice harmless person; but actually he does acts behind the scenes so as to emerge spotless and victorious.
There can be various such permutations and combinations.

Another example:-
Benefics in 10th house gives Amala yoga, theoritically; results good human character bringing him riches.
Consider a native having no great horoscope yogas (ordinary person), this amala yoga restricts him from even taking cheap shortcuts in his life to earn his living. Compare this with a native who has 1 debilitated benefic or 2 benefics and a malefic conjuntion. He potrays himself as an extremely good character but takes shortcuts in life, you never know what exactly your neighbour, friend, child does exactly 24 hrs unless he/she is caught, isnt it?
So the former native has to face a much tough task early in his life, while the latter native seems to live a very easy smooth life with a good reputation unless he/she is caught (if at all)!

Thank you Srikanth and Jalebi

Jalebi... your post was really interesting and enlightening...

This was very funny to read
"Then we think how come an extremely good person harm even his enemies (enemies are human beings and causing harm is causing harm; illegal as well), in such cases, he is either licenced to kill (james bond) or else his reputation and luck is enough to take care of his enemies and/or keep them at bay."

So finally, such people are good hearted materialistic people.... not good for spirituality and final emancipation....

But 6th house is a dushtana.... what if malefic lord of some important house eg. 10th house or lagna is in 6th? Shouldnt this lordship aspect be considered also?

Your quote :-
So finally, such people are good hearted materialistic people.... not good for spirituality and final emancipation....

No way, you can arrive at this conclusion!
In fact i do not understand what made you reach this conclusion, after reading my post.

What I (actually) meant was that we need to check the strengths, significations, relationships, aspects, .... before arriving at any conclusion.
So your quote :-
But 6th house is a dushtana.... what if malefic lord of some important house eg. 10th house or lagna is in 6th? Shouldnt this lordship aspect be considered also?
makes more sense.

Regarding spirituality, spirituality is not just about being poor or being learned in shastras or visiting religious places.
It is about what actions we do and what decisions we make at the various junctures in life and how much justice/discipline we can bring in.

Consider benefic Atmakaraka, lagna, lagna lord in good yogas with no/very little malefic influences in kendras and/or exalted and all malefics (not influencing lagna) in 3, 6, 11.
Such a native will always take just actions, even though he might have some illegal things happening in his background and earning a lot of wealth.
Consider a CA working in a dance bar earning a good salary to support his family, never consumed even a drop of wine or any illicit relationship. He also might have got this job from some corrupt minister's influence.
The bar owner/manager is paying him more than his efforts for his honesty (11th house) and, infact, protecting him from enemies (6th house) who would otherwise force this native into doing wrong things against his wish.
And if you happen to be such native's neighbour, you would always think he/she is
"good hearted materialistic people.... not good for spirituality and final emancipation" or even worse.
Yes the fact remains that he is attached to materialistic life but then,
You cant expect him to leave the job and do tapasya along with his family to be called spiritual and to earn quick moksha.

Doesn't these small things/actions (to work in swamp but remain stain-less) bring him closer to spirituality and final emancipation? you decide.

So, in general sense, we can conclude benefics in kendra or exalted benefics would incline the native towards virtuous thoughts and/or deeds, knowledgable while the malefics in upachaya might clear his obstacles/enemies and link him strongly with materialistic life and pursuits. Planets like Atmakaraka, Amatyakaraka, lagna, moon, sun, lagna lord, etc will be good indicators to find out the inclinatons, qualities and priorities of the native; whether he/she will evolve the spiritual side or the materialistic pursuits.
Any mix of this benefic and malefic influences would make things more complicated and may portrait the native more pretentious.
All benefics in kendras significance
