difference between Vedic and Western Astrology, Mysticism, reading, forums, Numerology, Sun Signs, Divination

I wonder why there is a Vedic astrology? How it is differed from the Western astrology. In Vedic my Ascendant is Cancer while in the Western Astrology my ascendant sign is Leo. How did it happen?

My MC and DESECDANT are all different in Vedic Astrology.. although my ASC is the same.. strange. I think the reason is because they use a very different house system.. that's my guess anyway.

This is a very common question and has been addressed numerous times in several fora. I really don't want to waste my time writing on this since google can reveal tons of information in a single click if searched with a proper search phrase. There are a number of western astrologers who have turned to Vedic given the limitations and inaccuracies of western astrology, no wonder astrology is much derided in the west.
