Hello all,

Can some one also tell me what aynamsa's were used before the advent of modern aynamsas like Lahiri, Raman, KP etc.

Rishi Ji,

To follow up from previous post now if a planet is placed at 29 deg and if we change aynamsa from chitrapaksha to raman that planet would now move to next house. I know a chart where the 11th house mars moves to 12th house. now how do we judge in such cases. Forgetting which ayanmsa is used how to judge such planets which are placed at border of a house?

Regards,
Gs

Here comes the relevance of the 'bhava chart' or 'chalit chart' for alleviating this problem.

See if Mars is at the fag end degrees according to the ayanamsa followed, but moves to the next house (obviously earliest degrees)= Mars will give partially the results of both in the same lifetime.

First part=11th. later=12th. You could apply this effect in Vimshottari dashas too, other than lifetime effect.

This concept is like an aspect called 'bhavishyat ithasala' effects mentioned in 'tajik' system.

This is an advanced concept, but very harmonious in Vedic Astrology, even Western.

The story of Ravana's son Meghnada, whose Saturn was in the 11th. but moved/had to move to the 12th. house.. will give give an idea where the Vedic astrology covered everything.... only our literal readings of it/them failed to reach/understand the True perception.

I am not trying to be confusing. Actually I am very ayanamsa friendly and never blame other ayanamsas, but accept most as perceptions.

Rishiji,

Can you give ur opinion abt the test itself and abt the question i asked regarding judging planets located at border of houses.

Regards,
Gs

Hi,

The test was conducted and sounds convincing. Again it matters as to how advanced in predicting the participants were in predicting accurately.

Some of them could have been teachers in astrology, some advanced in predictive ability, some not, some with partial knowledge.

If above.. the results would got diluted.

Suppose out of 20 participating astrologers, 4 were advanced and great in predicting.
Suppose 3 of them predicted correctly... and the others diluted the predictions?!!

Regarding the border of signs.. already anwered in the previous post.

I understand what you said. Its really confusing to know what to use at what time. I suppose it comes with practice. Can you kindly give the order in which these should be observed or how to go about once you are given a DOB and a query and a very tricky chart. I know people must have already asked this question before and If so kindly give me the link where you have explained this.

Now wearing my skeptic hat.

First of all thanks for going through pune experiment. It was a bit sad that nobody commented on the study from this forum.

Rishi ji i understand there is no guarantee in getting results once we are testing in this mass way. There could be many errors.

But one thing we must accept is that the question posted was quite a simple and straight forward one.

And it also shows that most of the so called practitioners are incompetent.

Now testing results this way would never give us satisfying answers. There's always a chance for human error. Thats why in the astrology research thread i was discussing a testing method using timed twins and gave details about a study conducted in UK.

So far i havent heard about any work carried out by our astrologers in this field.
