Hi,

Ayanamsas are and will continue to be a hindrance for Astrologers. perceptions.

Let us suppose that there exists a perfect Ayanamsa=X

Yet another astrologer uses another ayanamsa correctly. Why?

Ayanamasas in Astrology reveal certain patterns in life, like numbers and progressions  do.

Examples of progressions/ patterns are Western progressions, tajik, divisional charts, numerology numbers like 7 and 9 and even aynamsas.

Dr. B.V. Raman followed his own patterns/ayanamsa which suited his thinking in predictions/ analysis.  His astrological knowledge worked better/ suited his perception.

Ultimately it is the result that matters.

You or some may find my above statements illogical...But.

I, in my analysis/while detailed analysis follow 4 ayanamsas for time predictions. Namely Chitrapaksha, Raman, Fagan, RohiniRanjan to arrive at details.

If I exclude Raman ayanamsa, I face perception problems in arriving to results.

If I exclude Chitrapaksha, I face similar problems.

Rohinianjan ayanamsa helps me to further fine tune.

Fagans give me a different kind of perceptions.

I tret them somewhat like dasas. Dasa are progressions too... Each dasa for a perception.

Many perceptions lead us closer to Real Truth.

Long post.!. Tough topic for discussing!

Rishi Ji,

I donot think they sound illogical (I am aware of only basics of astrology) but they are quite confusing.

Now how is possible for a person to learn astrology if he doesnt know whether he is predicting right or wrong. Its ok for a learned astrologer to look up different aynamsas cross check and arrive at a result but how is it possible for a learner. How can he develop faith in astrology if he gets everything wrong because he is using wrong aynamsa.

Because when i look up my data through chitrapaksha and Raman the dasa starting periods are changing quite a bit infact 2years and Divisional charts are also changing. The fun part is I still could not figure out what aynamsa my native village astrologer used because my current dasa which started in 2005 starts only in 2009 according him and it started in 2003 according to Raman aynamsa.

Its all a bit confusing so kindly clarify.

Rishi Ji,

To follow up from previous post now if a planet is placed at 29 deg and if we change aynamsa from chitrapaksha to raman that planet would now move to next house. I know a chart where the 11th house mars moves to 12th house. now how do we judge in such cases. Forgetting which ayanmsa is used how to judge such planets which are placed at border of a house?

Hi bondbond333,

I can only tell you from my experience. In also from Vivekshettyji's experience, I am sure.

We have found the Chitrapaksha ayanamsa giving the most stable results.

I have seen that the dasas generated by B.V. ayanamsa relates more to the natural malefecity/benefecity of planets; while Chtrapaksha to natural and Functional.

Stick to one ayanamsa to begin with is my advise.

Hi,

Responding to this above post without reference to your first post, what occurred to me was that most probably, rather certainly, Mrs. Vasudev was well conversant with Numerology and applied it with Astrology.

Of course, I could be wrong in my assumptions too.  Or am I talking out of context?

Rishiji,
