Is our fate predetermined? when we try to predict results for a particular chart we concentrate on that chart and look for different combinations, transits, dasa, antardasa, strength of planets..... and many other aspects. But when a prediction is made in this materialistic world for a person the results not only depend on his chart or his parents, brothers chart but on the net result of this entire world. No particular event is possible on its own and for an event to occur for us simultaneously many other supporting events have to happen.(I.e many other life events are effected).
For example if I could predict the nature, characteristics and marital status from my chart along with my age of marriage. A counter chart should be available +/- my age and should have lived life parallely with me having her own events and eventually leading our two charts to marriage at a particular time. Just a small example shows how complex and multiple events have to take place for an event to occur.
But when predicting a chart we just intensly look at various combinations and confidently give predictions whereas a simple thing called randomness and chance would explain alot about our life events.
I would like a response from learned astrologer as I my self know only basics of astrology.

RishiRahul= Not really. Any one well versed in astrology can arrive at predictions from your chart only.
Of course, others charts does give different perceptions of the same problem, if the problems/event involve them. For example if it is about your marriage life, then your spouses chart will give a better perception of the problem/event. etc.

Hello bondbond333,

I agree with your logic.. about the counterpoint.. I mean.

Just as the highest form of 'Mathematics' is 'Philosophy', Logic does not need to rule always for the benefit of Mankind.

We SHOULD believe that Free will can work wonders!! for our benefit.

Again there is story of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa giving us an idea of Free Will:=
He tied a live goat to a tree (the goats neck was tied to the tree) & this was meant to explain how the goat is allowed to exercise Free Will.....
