Your spouse is pre determined and may be her nature too.
But what you do with relationship is something you choose to do but with very limited leaverage.

Rightly said by you about the freewill.
Y dont you go thru Freewill thread in the forum.May be you will get better idea.

Again this is a counter point. If life is predetermined and there is little chance for free will then that free will should also have been predetermined. i.e when can we have that free will in our life time.

One more thing very beautifull putted in post by chandubai ji which i remember.Frewill and Fate are not  2 DIFFERENT THINGS. they are part of each  other and compliment.
It is a misconception that these are 2 DIFFERENT THINGS.. they coexist and supporting to each other.
I will try to find out  a post by PVR ji which may give you a better idea at practical level.

But if you go through my first post i was more aligning towards randomness of events.

"Free will" is totally constrained on our place of birth, family of birth, our family genes, our responsibilities and finally on chance(or fate or what ever you want to call it) for reaching good positions in our circle of opportunities.

As far as astrology predictions go its based on statistics. humans live there lives in patterns, we all dream the same dream the dream of life. life is full of repetitive patterns so its easy for us to take some reference (In astrology its planets) to make predictions for our life events. So its very easy for some people to think different from every one and achieve there desires in a different way and therefore are given as examples for free will.

So for me Randomness explains the intense complexity of life and life events.

I am not at all fixed on anything. I myself follow predictive astrology. My purpose was to have a discussion about randomness and determined way of life events not free will that's what I tried to explain in previous thread as you and rishi ji have explained about free will.

I would like counter arguments supporting your belief system that could be anything. For me at this point of time with my all life experience randomness explains larger cosmic events. But I have personally seen some predictions come true for me with very good accuracy. So I am trying to gauge experiences of others in this forum.

Dear gs ji,

As regards the randomness theory, I have also felt it as a possibility many times. Possibly the sages have "seen" the scheme of things that determines this randomness and attributed it to the planets and zodiac. In other words, planets and the zodiac may themselves be effects and not causes.

On the inter dependency of charts of various people, I have also had similar doubts. For eg. an event like robbery affecting multiple people. I have myself faced one such situation and have wondered whether a specific chart "drove" the event or all of them did.
