The human condition is one of materialistic qualities and desire.  The ego itself is just a boundary of illusion.  Wisdom itself is "material" and has to be material.  Guru is a material planet.  Yet in this stage being, this stage of distinctness and the ego mind, we have our faulty wisdom to rely on.  Over our life we experience new knowledge and new ideas.  Mediation or experience itself guides us as we age and we start developing our discrimination based on that.  The human mind evolves just as any species or population of animals.  When the mind reaches a point where it realizes the futility of itself, it evolves/evaporates.

There are many paths to this point.  In the end, Rahu and Ketu are not so different.  They believe they are separate, and distinct, but they are intertwined strongly together.  Several Jyotish correlate Rahu with desire and Ketu with disconnection.  Many people emphasize that Rahu is the planet that prevents "Moksha" and Ketu is the planet that achieves "Moksha".  And I somewhat agree that this is true.  Rahu and Ketu though are in every single chart.  This would mean that everyone desires something.  As I said, desire is the human condition.

Many say that Ketu is owned by Pisces and Rahu is owned by Virgo.  The thing about the nodes that all Jyotish tend to emphasize though is that the nodes mimic their occupied space.  This means that the house lord basically determines whether the nodes will be "healthy" or not.  Ketu in Pisces tends to disconnect itself from Piscean qualities, while Rahu in Virgo tends to amplify Virgoian qualities.  The reason Ketu in Pisces is considered a good place for Moksha is that it usually brings with it(as long as the axis lords are strong) neutrality.  Ketu in Pisces tends to project Pisces without the ego even being involved(not of the mind).

In the reverse situation with Ketu in Virgo and Rahu in Pisces, the native is going to be completely disconnected from the material world.  Only one thing matters to the native, and that is enlightenment.  Something pure and nondiscriminatory.  Basically Rahu in Pisces hates the mind itself.  It is looking to deattach itself from every mental attachment it has to the ego.  Rahu in Pisces is obsessed with release.  Its constantly trying to dismember every thought.  The success of this depends on the axis lords.

Rahu and Guru together work the same exact way.  "Guru Chandala" being classified as negative is a really bad way to look at it.  When Rahu and Guru are together will be rather similar to Rahu occupying Guru's houses in that it will amplify the desire to reach englightenment and discover truth.  Whether this is a successful yoga should depend entirely on the house it occupies  and on the house lord of the house it occupies.  If Guru is frail and weak in a natives chart, the yoga will be negative. If Guru is strong, it can and usually will be a strong yoga.

Hi America.1 ji,
Don't you think its a better idea to talk on practical ground intead of virtual ground.
Now let me put here words of KN Rao ji.Im sure you must have heard his name.

Now let me first explain wat generally Guru-Chandaal yoga stands for and y it is called bad yoga.
Guru chandaal yoga is suppose to be very strong yoga and as per KN Rao ji it will definetely
shows its effect in native's life time if it exists in a chart.

This native will take an opportunitiy to dump his GURU or guradian or the one who has always supportd him once
in life time and thats for sure. This native will be UNOBLIGED and will not think of that obligation as a bound to not
deceive his/her GURU. Thats why it is called GURU-CHANDAAL yoga and not just coz jup and rahu are together.
It also stands for behaving like a chandal for your guru and putting him/her into big mess.

But this is not all, this yoga also got another part to it.The native has to pay for his/her deed in this lifetime and
he/she cant escape from this.

According to KN Rao ji this yoga always materialise and the only way native can save himself from wrath of his
guru and also not deceive him is by moving away from guru  PHYSICALLY whenever he gets this feeling that he
has to deceive his guru.

So now you understand significance of this yoga and y it is considered bad.
Personally I have found this to be true.Wherever i have seen this yoga i have seen it getting materialise and
some point.Does not matter how that native's bsic behaviour is.

I hope i have made your point clear with this.

Regards,
Raman

Can you tell me how malefic is this guru chandala yoga for a horoscope that has Mars, Rahu, Jupiter Retrograde and Saturn Retrograde in the 2nd house (Leo)? Will there be some really bad things happening during the dashas of these planets?
