Hi Priyanka, it turned out to be a browser issue. I normally use Firefox and "next" button isn't working in Firefox. It is working fine in Internet Explorer. I will read the "Tithi and Mithi" chapter some time this week.

Hello Priyanka:

My apologies for not keeping my word. Finally I got around and read the "Tithi and Mithi" chapter. On first glance I thought that the chapter was a few pages and I thought I needed to spend a lot of time to read it (as I am not proficient in reading Hindi) and it turned out to be only half a page.

Coming to the point, the chapter refers to "Vikram Calendar" and "Naveen Calendar". In both the calendars the book refers to Chaitra month, first tithi of shukla paksh as New Year. However, the reference to "pratyek" maas is confusing. I tried to google the "Naveen Calendar" (unless the author is refering to modern day calendar) but could not find any references on the web. I will let you know if I discover anything further on this matter.
