Hi,
I have read a lot about these two natural enemies. But I could really never understand them very well.
How would Mars and Saturn sitting together in a house will behave and what fruits/evils will they yield for the person.
For instance I saw a horoscope where there was Mars sitting with Saturn in fifth house (Kanya Rashi). Hence the seventh house would be Vrishick rashi. Now the lord of 7th house is sitting in the 5th house. Ideally this should lead to love marriage. But Mars was sitting with Saturn (its natural enemy) should surely hamper the good effects of Mars.
In such a situation, should I conclude love marriage owing to Mars or not. I am really confused. A little more info, the subject also has Moon in seventh house (moon is neech since 7th house is vrishick rashi).

I would be thankful if someone could clarify me on this important doubt.

Thanks and Regards.

Hi,

Mars and Saturn together in a same house is called "Agni Maruta Yoga" as per Kerala Astro traditions. I am afraid you find anything similar write-up in any classics such as BPHS Jaimini etc....But generally this combination where it occures, that house matters will suffer. One has to study the entire chart with respect to Lagna..of the native... (ofcourse from Moon sign as well) Again check the degrees of Mars and Saturn very important factor to see whether the said planets are involved in Graha Yudda (Planetory War) and who wins?? and is the Winner is benefic to that Lagna?

Best of luck..

Regards

Hi Mailsubra,

This is a very reckless nature in love and the native is very romantically and musically inclined. Love marrige is certainly indicated. The person has much high romantic ambitions regarding love and marriage.

Dear Mailshubhra,

I do not wish to cause any heartburn here (more than what has already been created inadvertantly!), but a quick run through a reliable database on some of the parameters offered here in this thread brings absolutely no indication of this combination preferring or significantly indicating any leaning towards love marriages or music or passion etc (even when associated with 7th house and indicators).

I do not want to bore people here with numbers etc which fall on deaf ears anyway, but look at it from a different angle with me here ...

India for instance is still a populous nation which probably sees more arranged marriages than the rest of the world or at least the western countries where love marriages are the norm and arranged marriage the exception (only in some communities and fastly declining in numbers). Arranged marriages, not the communities!

a) Is this SacjMa more prevalent in the west? Perhaps not!

b) Is the Sa-cj-Ma only indicative of love marriages or music or whatever else anecdotal evidence may want to pin on the back of this combination? Perhaps! But then we run into a big problem that is bigger than ayanamsha even!
          - Should the rules of jyotish change based on the societies and nationalities?
          - What about immigrant, from India ot US, for instance?
= Should the classical rules apply to those who have immigrated but continue to hold on to the original culture and tradition?
= Should the classical rules not apply to those who have immigrated and have changed their way of life and beliefs and so on?
= A BIGGER PROBLEM: If the latter is true then can an individual control the rules of jyotish that will apply to their life depending on a culture adopted by freedom of choice?

Love, Light, Levity ...

My heartiest thanks to all of u.
I must say that my subject is indeed musically inclined. In fact he himself is a good singer though i am not much aware of what he thinks about love and marriages.  However I will put some more information about that horoscope. The eighth house is occupied by Sun, Mer and Ket. The ninth house has venus. Incidentally venus also happens to be the ruler of the Lagna. The fact that the lord of lagna is sitting at the ninth house, and that too the planet is venus, has given him good looks and a little fatty body. His Rah is in 3rd house and Jup in 6th house.
Now please consider the following situations. The Mars which is in conjunction with Sat is looking at eight house. Jup is not favourable  since it is in sixth house.
So my doubts are the following. Can we still predict love marriage knowing the facts :
1. Mars is looking at eight house. It is in conjunction with Sat.
2. Sat is looking at the seventh house and Mars in eight house.
3. Jup is not helpful since it is in sixth house.
4. Mer which also helps in love affairs is in eight house with Sun and Ket.
5. Moon is neech in seventh house.

The favourable conditions for love marriage are the following.
1. Lord of seventh house is in fifth (Mars)
2. Seventh house is occupied by Moon (though neech)
3. Lagnesh (Venus) is in ninth house.

Please consider these facts about the prediction. Any help will be appreciated.

@ rohiniranjan :
Dear Sir,
I thank you for bringing forth some of these questions which are bound to hit each one of us at some point of time.
I have always looked upon u as someone who can assimilate the finer aspects of this science. Some one who is not just an astrologer but more than that.. like a scientist.. not merely accepting the facts on their face but to rather justify and reason with them, only to render them a better and finer shape.
Some times when I hear the news of an accident or natural catastrophe which took many lives in one go, I am left completely bewildered that how come so many people meet death at the same time. How can their horoscopes point to their deaths at the same time.. all of them... together.

However on lighter note, this person I am talking about is an Indian and we can safely apply our own vedic jyotish rules on his horoscope

One again, I will look forward for help on this topic from each one of you. I respect each of the views. I would also like to know if I went inconsistent about my observation of this horoscope somewhere.

Thank and Regards,
mailsubhra
