Hello,
I have a very serious question, and i would love for the astrologers to comment. It is a very general question, but one that always makes me wonder. I wanted to know, especially from those who practice astrology as a career, if they ever found a chart, that came out completely different from what the astrologers said/predicted, even when the time-of-birth was 100% correct?? For example, if one was promised wealth, but didnt get any, or a chart that said two marriages, but had only one, etc etc. I know the concept of freewill, but i am of the belief that destiny takes the upper hand, meaning wat is written for us will happen, no matter how much we try to avoid it. But since many of you have practiced this science, i was wondering if any of you have seen cases where the chart and life didn't match up, even with correct tob.
I firmly believe in God, but i see alot of people suffering, even i am suffering. Is there no hope. Can a person who is destined to die at a certain age be saved, or can a couple enjoy the bliss of children even when their charts say NO WAY. Miracles are there, no doubt. But i have never seen a complete turn of events for anyone. Have any of you?? Please do answer. I really look forward to seeing the astrologers viewpoints on this. Please do share your experiences, if any, of such charts that go in a different direction than it was supposed to. I appreciate your time. Thanks

Jahnvi,

You are on a very difficult quest. Why do I say so? Read on ...

a) There may be many such charts where something was predicted and did not come out to be true. Was that because the individual used free-will or turned his fate around by pooja or tantrik amulets or was the astrologer wrong in reading the signs (literally!). An experiement was conducted by me where different astrologers (some new, some experienced, some professional etc) were encouraged to submit readings and technical explanations for a series of four charts with a few questions and dates given. All of the responses were sent to me directly so there was not factor of "performance anxiety" in a public setting. And they had trust in me that their names etc will not be disclosed etc. I had not expected such a wide variation of responses and even more than the conclusions, the technical reasonings differed very much. And all of these were using standard Parashari astrology, most using Lahiri ayanamsha and not even Jaimini factors or KP or some of the exotic versions of jyotish or dashas etc.! Very eye-opening indeed.

b) I think you are yourself not fully convinced of your belief that destiny is incontrovertible and cannot change. If you really believed in that you would not have posed this question here  Please understand I am not picking on you or your belief but simply pointing it out and I think it is healthy to question that which in your case is a belief in the forming, and still in its infancy.

c) If destiny were to be supreme and free will can do nothing, then what is the point of asking jyotishis for readings or remedials? Jab jab jo jo hona hai, tab tab so to hoyega!

d) Total belief and subservience to the DIVINE LORD (or LADY) is very commendable and ultimate but one cannot do that until one leaves astrology and shaking the "box" one more time just to see if there is a coin in there that can be still used! Koi Upaaye, Koi rastaa ...

Love, Light, Levity ...

Jhanvi ji,

Suffering comes from wounds. And wounds heal.

Some of us are very lucky and when we cut our finger, we have a mother to run to. She gently washes our wound, dries it, applies some antiseptic to it and then puts a band-aid on it. Then she draws us close to her and places a loving kiss on our forehead. Then and only then does the wound begin to heal!

But then we grow up. We grow up because we want independence and with independence comes responsibility. Now when we cut our finger, we gently wash the wound, dry it, apply some antiseptic to it and then put a band-aid on it. But after that?

After that we close our eyes Jhanvi ji, and let the Divine Mother plant a loving kiss on our forehead and as tears stream down, the wound begins to heal.

And we don't have to wait till we cut our finger again to be kissed by Her, do we? Anytime we are Low, Lost or Lonely ....

There is something else that helps. Anytime we see someone else cut his or her finger, we rush to first gently wash the wound, then dry it, apply some antiseptic to it and then put a band-aid on it. And then, when we plant a loving kiss on his or her forehead, OUR WOUND BEGINS TO HEAL Jhanvi ji!!

Lots of Love to You, from All of Us here!!

After the Mahabharata War, krishna asked Kunti to ask one boon, which he would grant.

Kunti , asked Krishna to bless her that she is troubled, put difficulities always in her future birth

Krishna laughed at her , and said what is this strange desire? Ask something better. You ask for wealth, family , worldly pleasure I shall give. He even went to the extent of luring her by granting a boon, which none in the world had enjoyed or desired.

But Still Kunti insisted the same boon to be granted

Finally, Krishna gave up , but granting the same , he asked , why do you insist on such a thing. For which Kunti replied, if I have all the pleasure that you suggested , if I posses, I shall forget you and will have no time to think of God. But if I am troubled and put to difficulities, I shall always be remembering. What more is required than the remembering the name of God and his attention always. You know everything , Krishna, why I need you and your attention.

Dear Govardhan ji,
Thank you for this enlightening stuff..............
I do believe that his presence is always there in our life its just that we dont realise it and dont wanna accept this. Moreover we always think that we can be better judge of situation in our life rather than him, and we always try to look for short cuts to change our karma.

As mentioned by KN Rao ji in one of his interview to Vaughn Paul that there r 3 states on being an astrologer as mentioned in GITA and one of them is GYANI.... where we realised that we r very small in front of him and what he does is actually a real truth WE CANT ESCAPE FROM OUR KARMA though our sanchita can make things change (little bit) but even then we HAVE to GO through our prarbdha karma(which we also call as our destiny)..

I think this is the site of KN Rao ji's interview ... i cant check it coz i cant access it from office.

www.lightonvedicastrology.com/articles-knrao.htm

There was one of the poem i remember where person complaints that when he walks during his good times on sand he sees 4 foot steps 2 of his and 2 of god but when his difficult time starts he only sees 2 foot steps and always tells god that leaves him during his bad times.......... Till one day god tells him that he sees only 2 steps  on sand during his bad times coz god always picks him up to save him from that time...

So this is the truth that though we will have to go though rough phases of our life(Prarabdh karma)and complete our karma cycle but our present karma(Sanchita, kriyama) can save us from getting harmed and we will be taken out safely and have to face less of the pain....

I will try to find this poem online..though i dont remember much about it...
Regards,
Raman
