Hello All,
Thanks again for replying. Rohiniji, i never evaluated charts, and i don't know anything abt astrology. I just wonder like most people do, why kundli matching doesn't reveal divorces, death etc. ...

Jhanvi ji,

I shall try to answer the part of your posting addressed to me, hence editing out the rest from the quote. Hope that is okay with you.

Your questions are very valid and particularly important in today's rather competitive environment which seems to have embraced jyotish (at least the commercial aspects -- professionals who do jyotish for a living), it is perfectly valid to ask a jyotishi these. It is true that one would not similarly ask their doctor for a guarantee (which you will not get anyway!) but their education and training is more standardized and controlled than a jyotishi's and there can be lot of variations and variabilities.

That said, I must touch upon certain things that were apparent from your post. Your reference to jyotish as science and an underlying belief that somehow Jyotish is a uniform discipline and the techniques are standard. This is certainly not the case, on both counts, please trust me Jyotish is an interpretation of symbols. As a friend put it, Astronomy tells us what is out there, while astrology tells us what that means. Interpretation being an important component, no two astrologers will interpret the chart in the same way. Why astrologers, if you even look at the indications given for a certain planet in a certain house or certain sign, in different books, even classics which we are told were written in purer times, you will find big differences. The same <different heads different interpretations> phenomenon are working again.

Some jyotishis take it as a personal offence if one were to suggest that intuition plays a role in their astro-delineations. Intuition is a very human faculty, a gestalt-like function of the brain and astrology taps into this wholistic type of brain activity which involves not only linear logic but also paralogical abilities.

The above is not all that far fetched. Even when you are reading this message, you are doing it transparently and are not reading individual letters or words or the grammar rules and so on. You are almost instantly recognizing patterns and your brain is doing many different types of processing only a few of which are basic, logical type operations. Much of the rest is not even known. How then can we assume that astrological interpretation or delineation (I like that better) is linear or logical only.

Anyway, did not want to write too much because you may not be interested in all this information, but hopefully someone will be helped by my post.

Love, Light, Levity ...

Dear Dada,

I am aware and also understand that the above post was not directed at me, but I had been benefitted when you had told me this 'intuition' bit analogy.

Today you have explained it wonderfully. Thank you.

Dear Jhanvi,

It is possible for an expert astrologer to be able to predict what you had asked. But you must remember that the motto of a commited and competent astrologer is to predict facts to be able to guide the native better in dealing with life.

I have an additional tool called palmistry. Birth chart and the 2 palms help me to achieve a wonderful clarity which is not possible with either palmisrty or astrology. You can ceck tem out if you access the following threads where I saw/am seeing the same person's palm and birth chart.

The analysis is still on and not concluded.
I hope I have been able to answer your querries.
Hello,
I have a very serious question, and i would love for the astrologers to comment. It is a very general question, but one that always makes me wonder. I wanted to know, especially from those who practice astrology as a career, if they ever found a chart, that came out completely different from what the astrologers said/predicted, even when the time-of-birth was 100% correct?? For example, if one was promised wealth, but didnt get any, or a chart that said two marriages, but had only one, etc etc. I know the concept of freewill, but i am of the belief that destiny takes the upper hand, meaning wat is written for us will happen, no matter how much we try to avoid it. But since many of you have practiced this science, i was wondering if any of you have seen cases where the chart and life didn't match up, even with correct tob.
I firmly believe in God, but i see alot of people suffering, even i am suffering. Is there no hope. Can a person who is destined to die at a certain age be saved, or can a couple enjoy the bliss of children even when their charts say NO WAY. Miracles are there, no doubt. But i have never seen a complete turn of events for anyone. Have any of you?? Please do answer. I really look forward to seeing the astrologers viewpoints on this. Please do share your experiences, if any, of such charts that go in a different direction than it was supposed to. I appreciate your time. Thanks
Jhanvi ji...just a couple of points

Astrology is a science....and just like all its sister fields, it faces the problem of lack of exploration...true a number of astrologers have done so to their maximum capacity...but the truth is that probably its not enough....people who have a lot of knowledge, experience ands have empirically seen their predictions come true may have a better shot at this....as they might have caught the "pulse"...just like einstein and and his theories of relativity.....so revolutionary and true....but in the end, after more exploration, it only turned out to be true upto a certain extent.....still he was the one who came closest

while we look into astrology.....lets not forget that "karm" is "pradhan"......some palmists believe that lines in the hand and forehrad change depending on the actions of the individual....probably it is in their fate for that to happen...probably not...maybe it does not make a difference.....but that doesnt mean that we stop doing our "karm".....as it is in our nature to strive......the drive or as freud says the libido is there from our birth till we die.....we are nothing without our "karm"....if we just sit and watch our life fly by with problems and troubles and do nothing about it.....then everything becomes a waste.....we might not get another opportunity at this "life"....lets take charge and do our "karm" and make things better

a third thing is faith.....this is on a personal note.....we all need to believe in something...anything....God, destiny, fate, astrology, ourselves etc......its theraputic...faith hepls us through our difficult times....i have seen astrologers who just like a doctor give bitter medicine and bad news.....but also are a shoulder to cry on...a friend in need and someone who tells you that things will get better.....and they eventually do!!!...i have seen this with myself, with a friend of mine who has been through a rough patch...and I'm sure this would have happened to numerous people

the important thing is not to forget own "karma"...rest astrology and everything will fall in line!

Hi All,
What wonderful responses. Thank you Rohiniji, Rishiji, and Subhji. Rohiniji, you are right on about the fact that no astrologer will say the same thing. I was under the impression that no matter what the paths(KP, etc), the conclusion would be the same. But i guess Rishji is talking abt this very thing, that communication/interpretation of the chart is key. Subhji, wonderful explanation!!!
Yes, many a times one will find an astrologer very cut and dry abt his/her predictions....but more often, i have found compassion. So your right abt that for sure. There are those astrologers who believe so much in what they see in charts, that they forget to resign somethings to freewill. They use words like "impossible"......"never happening", things like that. One loses faith with such astrologers. It is very important for an astrologer to be humble and be believer in God. Otherwise their astrology becomes their religion.
Anyway Rishiji, yes i have seen many postings of yours where predictions are very accurate, and yes palmistry is a wonderful pairing of with astrology.  Obviously your very blessed. I hope you all can be of help to those that need the light. Take care and thanks for all ur replies.

Hi Jhanvi,

Such positive replies from you show a very positive self that you possess.
Our Gods/faith/belief would certainly want to give the free will factor importance for our benefit and it certainly has its place; as it exists emphatically.

It is a fact too that astrolgers should not predict (I am talking of the wise and confident astrologers) things which affects free will understanding. properly.

Humble in explaining.. yes.. the astrologer should be.

Thank you for the appreciations.

1)astrology is only the indicator but i will't predict teh futere and the consequences which are going to happen for a person in life.....

2)according viedic astrology the birth chart indicatesthe perivious birth karma fala.the chart is not present life karma.

3)accoeding to the viedic rushis all the horoscope results consigned to the jeeva athama no to the soul.
