Dear all,

Should gem stones be recomended for planets in 6th, 8th and 12 th houses or for retrogrede planets.

My personal opinion is that they should not be recommended even if the planets involved are benific , we should look for different remedies like reciting of stotars and mantras etc, to mitigate the malefic effects or to strenghthen the benific ones.

Please contribute with your opinions .

Sandhu ji,

Retrograde planets are not necessarily bad or malefic to a given nativity. They are just stronger in influence because they are closer to the earth than when direct. Likewise, planets in 6, 8 or 12 are not necessarily bad or weak. More considerations would be needed to go in before prescribing a gemstone.

I realize that everyone would love to have some quickie format of astrological reckoning and that may actually be possible, but the nativities would have to simplify their lives in order to fit that box and framework. It is not astrology that has become more complex and full of skeins but the object it describes (= human experience) has!

Astrology is simply a language, a descriptor. It is like english for instance. I do not believe the alphabet set has changed drastically over the thousand or more years past but the descriptions, the idioms etc have changed. Similarly in astrology ...

In my opinion in most of the cases we can recommend the gems for the planets positing in 8th 12th or 6th house.For example if the Ascendent lord or sun (if it is  not debiliated etc ) occupies the 6th house it will be good for a person.It depends upon lot of factors and then only we can decide.Although one should never recommend gems to plantes related to 2nd and 7th as they are the maraks sthans.

In my opinion, any remedial measures including Gems stones should be done considering the 1H, 5H, and 9H and it's Lords..

Why? 5H poorva Karma Punya, children, Happiness, fortune Lottery luck, lady luck etc... When you wear a 5H lord's Gem it activates both 5H and 11H 11H of gains,

9H Dharma, prarabdha Karma, House of Luck when you activate 9H it also activates 3H. 3H is Upachaya, house of growth public image, etc..

1H Lagna the native himself/herself AND you know which House it Activates?      i.e. 7H your partner!!

6th, 8th or 12th lord placed in any of those houses, it gives vipreet Rajayoga. Then what do you suggest?
