Hello everyone,

Im a brand new student to astrology (Trying to learn it by myself).

I was just wondering if anyone knows about the origins of vedic astrology. Are ther any manuscipts describing how the ancients developed this science.Also does anyone know how western astrology differs from vedic astrology.

I know Vedic astrology does not include the 2 outer planets Neptune and Pluto,does this nean that these two plants do not have any significance as far as Jyotish is concerned.Also western Astrology doent take into account the influence of Rahu and Ketu...How important is this?
