[quote="chakra"]Dear all,
I have basic query...plaguing my mind for few months.
There are four trikona in chart... Dharma Trikona, Arth trikona.. Kama & Moksha Trikona.
As far as I know, for Dharma Trikona, the second house of trikona - the 5H, (among other significance) indicates debit/credit balance of punya from past life. Wheras the 3rd house of the Trikona (the 9H), indicates the punya balance to be gained in this life. 5H also indicates Son /disciple etc.. which might be based on past life karma - a manifestation of Dharma.
Am I correct so far in my understanding ?
Now what about the other Trikona-s ? Does the 2nd house of other trikona also show the debit/credit balalnce of past life too in their respective areas ?
Like 6H (Artha) may indicates the effort that should have been made in past life... but was/was not done etc. The third house of Trikona (10H here) indicating the present Karma-kshetra where credit points can be earned ?
Or there is no such concept in 1st place ? In that case, why this Trikona concept ?
'Hope I am not asking a too stupid question !

No Chakra jee, you are not asking stupid questions (cliche' of course!).
But why are you asking? <quizzical look of disbelief -- sorry I do not have an emoticon for that!>
Why not look instead into your own chart which you know so well I am sure!
And if you find something that does not fit with what the ancient yellowed shrivelled pages of the OLD book promised -- do not throw the book away, please!
Always remember when playing with astrology: Despite what the books and nadis say: We are individuals and as the society and our reality evolves -- there will be more individuals and more freedom of will!
May sound a bit heretic and challenging, but that is the theme for the time being!
<<You know who or what is the victim really?? The ALARM CLOCK that gets slapped each morning because it was just doing its DUTY and we did not like to awaken?>>

Daer Dada,
A request ... please drop the 'jee' suffix.
I generally don't try to look at my own chart. When I was trying palmistry also, I tried to avoid looking at my palm. I felt that such practices leads to more subjective understanding (instead of objective) and also chances of biased interpretation / wrong emphasis is more.
I have seen two cases where the job could be more related to 6H. Also seen few people suggesting that Sun in 6H may make a doctor or surgeon.
Now two cases does not create a theory or rule. What I am looking at is ... whether these two cases are related to Trikona concept.
At some forum I asked similar question ... with my own interpretation
Like .. 1H / 2H /3H/ 4H ---- indicates something we get after birth.
5H / 6H /7H/8H --- indicates where transformation is taking place
9H / 10/11H/12H -- indicates the final destination.
However, I did not get a convincing and satisfactory answer.
I don't mind being told that I am totally wrong. But I should understand where I am making the mistake ... the basic flaws in my understanding.
'Hope you will guide me once more.
Regards
Chakra

Chakra,
Only one who has thoroughly explored and researched this very interesting consideration can opine on its veracity and validity. You should explore this more (deeply and in many charts) and let the experience be the judge.
The sequential progression that you have indicated may also be explored from natal saturn (saturn rising orientation). The symbolism has to do with the so called saturn-returns, the 30 year cycle of saturn, the first third of which is about unfolding of potentials (and gaining awareness of those), the next third dealing with building the structure based on the potentials (transformation from an idea to structure) and the last third is about consolidating the learning and growth so that it may be fed to the "child" in the next cycle of saturn.
Like many of astrological paradigms, this one will not show up too lightly or palpably at times but like other paradigms may be used to form a layer of considerations that adds resolution (as in 1200 dpi) to the image that emerges when reading a chart.
Prem, Prakash, Prashanti...
