But venus is also very weak in scorpio and so is Rahu with sun. Sun and Venus increases Rahu adverse effect. Also Mars can be in Libra with Mercury or it's in scorpio. So what will happen to this chart if mars is in scorpio? sound very fiery and unfortunate placement of planets? But since I am not an expert, I migth be totally wrong. Please correct me.
well classics did not indicate the status of the planet causing the cancellation other than being in angles (kendra) from the debilitated planet, lagna or moon (if all three the better I suppose). But then recent views brought in factors like strength of the cancelling planet which does make logical sense most would say, but then the question arises:
Was the cancellation of debility dependant on a 'collective show of strength?' or were other factors involved.
Exaltation of any planet is a phasic thing, like the phases of moon and like the full moon, the exalted planet may represent a cleansing of quality, brilliance of ray as opposed to just a strengthening, whereas debility may be a qualitative decline and not just weakening of quantitative strength.
Why do I say that? Because often exalted natural malefic produce very benefic effects, unlike their malefic nature and debilititated benefics produce evil effects. If they were weak in strength they would just not produce any effect one would say.
Having said that, I do not believe that lunar nodes have exaltation and debility. Just as the lagnamsha does not have an exaltation or debilitation point.
Opinions differ and will differ. How else would jyotish remain anything but simple?
