Hi everyone,

I am new to this site and really eager to learn about vedic astrology. I am a total beginner and had a couple of questions. I have been trying to read some charts and have used BPHS, Lal Kitab, and other random astrology books as guides. The issue that I am having is that none of them are very consistant with each other. For example, BPHS and Lal Kitab give different instructions for calculating aspects. Also, having shown some astrologers my chart I have gotten varied responses. My question is this, what is a good source that I can use in guiding me to analyze charts? With the previous work I have done, I have found that the things I have been told or am finding are not true to my experience. I am really kind of lost and any help that anyone can give me in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

"welcome to the world of jyotish"

HAHA, thanks projenator. Although, it seems that a lot of people are getting readings that they can relate to, so they must be doing something right!

By the way, if anyone wants to give a stab at it.
The chart is Scorpio Asc.
1st (scorpio)- SaR
2nd (sagg.) - MaR
4th (aquar) - Ju
6th (aries) - Mo/Ra
8th (gemini) - Su
9th (cancer)- Me/Ve
12th (libra)- Ke

Along with the classics, i suggest you read some modern day authors like B V Raman, K N Rao, P V R Narasimha Rao or RohiniRanjan. I found these authors very helpful.
All i can say for now is
"Read, discuss, analyze and one day you will succeed"

Hope that helps.
